  • If the person with unlimited power to change the game as they see fit is in fact our enemy, then yes, giving up dealing with the frustration is probably the best move.
  • Cool, I bet this will make the warzone not such an empty ghost town as it is 90% of the time. Lets go for that full 100%!
  • It'll come eventually, I think they all will sooner or later. Just be patient. It's not like they tack on so much more damage that you are gonna be left in the dust without any.
  • I'd much prefer TP disable to being nearly instagibbed by a stupid glowy chain lasso immediately thrown at me whenever I get hit with a knock. Not to mention, gravity also hinders horizontal movement with flight powers as well. If you don't have any athletics or superspeed type TPs, you might as well not use one at all.…
  • It's awesome how it mixes with roomsweeper though. Great for building up knock resist stacks on trash or just in general keeping them from being sent flying away from you.
  • On my healer I actually had one of those meteors knock me perfectly to land DIRECTLY under his fist when he was doing his punch attack. If it weren't so frustrating, I would have busted out laughing at how it lined up so perfectly.
  • No, I don't think it did. As for CCing the hearts, You'd pretty much need one person for each to do that reliably. I think the actual intent is to have one saved for last in damage priority, and that one gets to be the CC focus. One person trying to smack a heart around can bring it out of any hold relatively quick.
  • There are definitely way more things different with Qwyjibo than heart health and the breath patches. His hearts are also spawning more often, and even when he is almost back to full health. Once you get down to 1/3 HP, it seems like the hearts just keep coming with every PBAoE. Which he is also using more often than…
  • As an update, I just did a quick test of below the belt on live as well, it's the same there, does absolutely nothing. You are better off just tapping an unranked demolish than trying to use below the belt currently. EDIT: I also just checked in to PTS now however, and the power has been reworked to actually do something…
  • Has anyone mentioned the bizarre midsection shape of the male holo hex armor torso? Is that intentional? Because it's waaay narrower than the normal human torso. It's like the spine is pressed up against the back of the abdominal muscles at one point.
  • When the teleisaurus spike detonation charge was extended, the charge up for when the DoT is applied appears to remain the same. I have blocked the actual attack and had the DoT hit, and I have also managed to block the DoT and have the attack hit. I think this is a strong indicator they are not occurring simultaneously.…
  • I don't get why he needed changing. Honestly he has already been a pain, second only to Teleiosaurus. I have literally had people who respawned run by and smack dogs around and grab aggro while I was a dog tank. And if they are up on that altar during the storm, good luck getting them back down. You basically have to make…
  • If something is particularly energy hoggish or energy efficient that is technically part of its overall game balance in my opinion and affects its real DPS. I don't think going to great lengths to make energy as little a concern as possible is a good condition for testing, as it runs the risk of making energy efficient…
  • I have also found the cause for the demolish debuff not doing much of anything for haymaker. It's because demolish is essentially doing almost nothing. The resist debuff is frozen and does not increase with rank. Also, below the belt appears to not actually be affecting resistance at all. This would be your explanation for…
  • Uh...no. It's one thing to criticize the testing methods, it's another to claim I'm rigging it somehow. Go ahead and give yourself a tinfoil hat. I changed the heavy weapons loadout based on suggestions. When I said it wasn't about discussing optimal builds, I was responding to suggestions for bestial. It was performing…
  • I didn't really create this thread to come up with a way to maximize bestial as a build, I made it to point out how out of balance the new stuff is with other powersets. Now, here are some screenshots. I didn't do every single one, but the tests I think were actually relevant I took shots of and cropped and uploaded and…
  • I said it ticked for 2k damage, I didn't say it did 2k dps. The lion's share of the DPS in the bestial tests was massacre with bloody mess, which was being enabled by the deep wounds (which were doing their own significant amount of damage). The Haymaker DPS probably varied simply because using the fully charged demolish…
  • Thrash was not part of the DPS test, and its healing was not as much an issue for me as what bite was capable of.
  • Honestly, GCR right now is pretty good. Just doing the cosmic daily alone can net you 28 a day. Add a TA run with the daily to that for like...14? 42 GCR in a day, a bit of an investiture of time to get TA and the cosmics all down (especially now with the nightmare craze), but before that, it was possible to get together…
  • Can't seem to get into PTS anymore, I was testing the single blade/aspect of the bestial before it DCed me, got one test through. It was a pretty simple setup. I was using reaper's caress (r2/shredded advantage) to build bleeds, and embrace rank 3 to pop them, rinse and repeat. The DPS I got there was 3,380. I was going to…
  • With the first test (the 4k one), bleeds were 4% of the damage, second to last, just ahead of the energy builder. Massacre was 58%, and deep wounds was 17%. When I am talking about crit healing, I am talking about bite, not thrash. The HoT buff a fully charged bite gives you is quite high, AND it can crit. That 1,784 every…
  • Honestly, I liked the old dodge mechanic like that. It gave dodge its specific niche in defense. Defiance was sorta the "good against all comers" one, invuln was and still does make you extremely resistant to attrition, and LR was great for making sure the big stuff didn't vaporize you, but was actually almost doomed to…
  • I'm kinda ashamed to say I use ego surge on damn near everything nowadays.
  • The bottom line is, absolve is a great and useful tool for a savvy support player who is conscious of the team dynamic and sees the aggro situation slipping. Sadly, it is also the most amazing tool ever for someone to completely ruin a cosmic fight.
  • That collar is pretty sweet, I actually just assumed it came with the serpent armor stuff when I first bought it (since redsnake wears all those).
  • Bestial can stack furious now. Furious is awesome. EDIT: PTS has new bestial powers too, and they are amazingly good. I think if they go live as they are now, bestial may very well become the best set of tanking powers in the game. A block that applies bleeds and poison to attackers, and an attack that turns bleeds into…
  • Don't the boomerang attacks fall under "gadgeteering offense"? Granted, they aren't veyr "gadgety" in flavor but boy are they some damn nice damage.
  • I don't think the cap is that big a deal, granted I haven't been wedged out because of it yet. Supposedly people have been using team teleporters to squeeze in extra folks who are denied entry. Also, people could try and be a bit more considerate and just hop zones. Like if you're waiting on a kigatilik to start, and…
  • This is a bad idea. With these teamwork dynamics, it is very easy for you to die many, many times and it not be any fault of your own. For example, if tanks wipe on Teleiosaurus and actually try to do their job and regain aggro control, they will probably die several times in the process because if the tanks have died…
  • Not quite, it has two bind conditions, one on pickup, and one on equip. Pickup binds to account. Equip binds to character. That's the idea.
  • Nope. Just tanked Teleiosaurus, got a 90k score, a green secondary, and no credit for daily or perk. I held aggro most of the fight until the healer/tank dynamic broke down, not sure what from. I did my job and I did it well, and I got screwed. This issue is not fixed yet.
  • Usually I'm talking about a resultant crit chance of maybe around 25% being hit if geared for it? No Dex SS.
  • Have you tried the heavy hooked sword? It kinda works. Also, Ironclad's Gladius can fill the role. Early Christianity had heavy roman ties, so a gladius fits just fine I think.
  • Be nice if they'd tone down Millennial Flight, I might actually use it. It gets the extra pulse of speed over normal flight which is nice given how slow flight is, but it's like having a sparkler in the center of your monitor.
  • Has anyone tried fluidity against the cosmics? I am curious if it counts as a "block" for stuff like the dinosaur spike detonation DoT. I know building with it instead of elusive monk makes it harder to get that spiffy super dodge chance when fighting, but it DOES let you get 100%+ chance while blocking, which is nice. It…
  • Then you are probably in the next reward bracket, or maybe you have more xp bonuses, like from the heirlooms and stuff?
  • Not all of them are the same in terms of rewards. The Grabs that take place in Millennium City give you a substantial amount of additional XP at the end, before you pickup the mission reward for even more. The Vibora Bay ones do not do this. Not sure what happened with your 11-12 transition, maybe you leveled in the middle…
  • It's all about the level bracketing. Once you hit 26, it puts you into a new level based reward bracket for the grabs where the XP drop is bugged and doesn't give you any XP. Have tested this on multiple characters. Some have no xp boosts beyond the double xp buff. Also, some regular content missions don't seem to be…
  • It's nice some have been so lucky. But not everyone is, and you can't go "drop rates are fine" simply because you got yours. This past Gravitar go-through, I ran it 13 times in one day. Each with a different character. No tokens. A bunch of copies of the same costume pieces I either already had unlocked or didn't want (the…
  • So, what's being said, is that the diminishing chance of getting a token is applying even when you DON'T get one? That is beyond stupid. I can't even being to explain why, it should just be so obvious. Like why murder is bad.
  • I'm petitioning against it with my wallet. Not buying these silly things.
  • I think if you axed the vindicator + warden/guardian offense/defense loop entirely, people would start picking different specs trees more frequently. Pet based and crowd control ones would still be neglected, but that's less a spec thing and more a weakness in the current mechanics of those playstyles. The con as the stat…
  • I was never running again with the same char after getting a token in the first place. But the only thing I've gotten tokens from at all is sky command (which seems to give you one on your first go through with a character no matter what). The other ones I have not seen a token from. Ever.
  • I actually stopped playing in tank role in fire and ice pugs. I've said it before, my problem isn't the damage of the scripted special attack things. Boss fights in tons of MMOs have attacks like that that will have devastating consequences if you don't react correctly. That's fine. It's the fact that the regular stuff,…
  • Haven't gotten to test this stuff yet as the server is currently down, but I will say this...you're really not supposed to be pairing LR with dodge gear. LR tanking is usually best accomplished with high defense gear and good use of specs to get defense even higher. This gives you at the least a decent defense for when LR…
  • This is a computer game. It too, is a fantasy. Most popular power combinations in PvP aren't the result of experience or skill, they're the same thing everyone else is doing. A small group of people innovate, everyone else replicates. Some people like to make their characters unbeatable simply by virtue of their…
  • This is...amazing. Probably the best thing I've ever read on these forums.
  • I think they are trying to fix this, but weren't quite aware of the problem. You actually can't tap spam throwing blades anymore, but I guess the block exploit works around the minimum charge time that was added.
  • -A true speedster powerset. Not unarmed MA, actual moving superhumanly fast stuff. That'd be awesome. -Charge component added to lunges, to give them options for more of a sting. Either have it up the damage, or the crowd control effect, or both. More options in general for keeping people from just running away from your…
  • Well, you're using regen, and regen's biggest weakness is being overwhelmed by sustained damage. A giant mob of guys all ripping into you will easily outpace your healing. I don't know what gear or specs you use, but I'd definitely recommend getting the unity primaries. Loop offense and defense using aggressive stance and…
