Did some RP stuff with Destroyer. Not that it counts. :) Essentially, blowing out the candles on his 100th birthday cake. And trying to beat the aging issue.
Simplest solution: require one less mob and reduce the boss to 60% of their Health. Or include a Radiation source that's constantly on (maybe blinking between locations) and you need to move to it periodically to recharge your Radioactive form; that fits the theme.
I've said in the past that I'd like most of the cutscenes in FM replaced with voice over. It's a separate issue, though. And let me suggest again for storytelling purposes for FM: Change all cutscenes to VOs except: Intro (cut down if possible) Mid-battle (though it should be cut in half, and make the last bit VO)…
I'll take a hundred cutscenes of Talkokles over five prolonged minutes of this fight. But it's a fake dichotomy. The problems of one do not excuse the problems of another.
It's good to have the option, just as it's good to be able to whitelist duels and put people on ignore. Other games have it. Player option. Being able to tell people "no", such a good thing. Thanks Kais.
I've used google translate a fair bit, with the caveat that I keep my sentences basic and simple. But I've enjoyed interacting with non-English speakers an awful lot.
IIRC, he discovered Defender's secret ID, blackmailed him, and ended up in the plot convenient coma. I suspect his tampering with SOCRATES in CO was part of a long game aimed at bringing down Harmon.
Oh. And more stances/emotes. The ones that already exist. Stance Name: Stance Used Confident: Hands on Hip Heroic Disapproving: Arms Folded Heroic Casual: Wall Lean They should have been in years ago. Many years ago.
This won't happen. The devs have been yelled at for seven years. They don't care. They'll never care. Years ago, they took emotes away from us for the flimsiest of reasons. Not happening.
It was someone else's baby. They wanted to work on their babies, not someone else's. There was a little attempt to integrate it into Whiteout (a nice touch) and the early alert system, aside from that, the various dev teams have treated it as a pariah. :( But CO systems tend to get one pass, and the devs move onto the next…
What floored me is that I've met two people on CO who played Champs at the 1981 Pacificon where the PnP version debuted, so they predated even me. (That's brand loyalty!)
It would be great to have a rampage against a really tough team of villains where you have to watch for multple mechanics tricks going on at the same time. Eurostar would be perfect for that, and so would the Crowns (if we weren't oversaturated in occult villains/organizations).
For me, genre emulation and "feel" issues have always been a problem for this game. And they are in DCU as well. And it was even worse in City of fighting reskinned EQ mobs, I mean CoX. The closest CO has come to doing it right is in the VB Apocalypse and in some of the APs/CS. And those had the disadvantage of being…
A VIPER warzone with a few new VIPER villains (Halfjack, Superior, the rest of VMS-Alpha, perhaps Draconis making a power play), the Duchess, would be pretty cool.
Frey is known as Masquerade I. There actually is a Masquerade II in the PnP, but I wouldn't worry about it; Champs has at least one name shared by two living, active characters (Thunderbird).
