Rolling into tutorial as I type this.

    I just do a quick check.

    find person, levels 1-10,
    sort by level
    look through and hit ignore on each of them.

    they show red while sitll in the tutorial and a bit after, so you can see which ones you've done. I got 17 2 days ago.

    Are you sure they are bots? I don't think bits will spend that amount if time for a decent costume ... I know I am kinda being hopeful here for new players

    Too bad they're bots. They don't care FishSlapping or TroutMauling. They just do what they're programmed to do.

    Are we sure they're actually bots? Manpower's always been cheap for things like that and I swear I've seen more than one of them moving around (besides that "I am TOO online" jump).

    Well, if you're a nonbot and spend hours in one place, hoppin' up once a while. Get a haircut and get a new job....
    But then again, that's what lvl 40s do in Ren Center anyways. As an EndGame...

    That's why I don't try to get proactive about it - might just turn out to be a new player with terrible taste. Instead, I Report Spam on the spam messages.

    They have to move around enough to do the missions, to get out of the tutorial.
    Other than that , they have to stand around to get out of the 20hs no chat period.
    new players also tend to take care to name their characters, even if they don't change the costume.

    Report spam only players who send you a spam mail or tell or in zone. You shouldn't rely solely on assumption in the event that the player turns out to be legit.

    Believe it or not I've come across legit players using names made of random characters before from time to time.

    and as we talk, MC Zone Chat is getting spammed by Scambots and their Phising Site offers
    who managed to bypass the 24 Hours new account limit

    Likely they didn't bypass, they loitered in Tutorial for 24 hours.

    GM is usually on early morning my time. GMT +8. and I mean about 4-30 to 5.30am.

    currently its 4.30am.

    28 of 29 players in the tutorial Zone 1 are bots.
    So many bots they made a second zone and overflowed into it.

    If they are using the 'hide' feature then they won't show up in the social UI so you can't find them in the tutorial unless you are in the tutorial yourself.
