This is my own Spider-Man homage, hope you guys enjoy.

Mike Peterson was born in Millennium City, little did he know that his dad had power. On Mike's birthday ,his father died. His father was the first Killer Spider. He was killed by the hands of Nightmare. The legendary Killer Spider was ripped limb from limb. His last words were "son, take care of your mother,be strong, and use your powers for good." This event was hard for Mike to accept,so he prayed to God that he would avenge his father. Growing up, the boy was successful in school. Never let any of his friends down and keep his promises. By the time Mike was 14, he decided to get a job at the WCOC. At the same time he got a job he decided to start his hero act. Now when Mike was a field trip the got to go to Dynamic Labs where they tested out a bunch of things. There were Manimals, Weapons, Suits, and medicine. He got his power from the spider minimal Sample from one of the rare beast in Monster Island. So what happened? Mike tripped over something and the chemicals spilled all over him, and It got into his open wounds and mouth . He realized he had powers the next morning. For a while he has being using a makeshift but, he eventually made a better suit. He was a rookie at the age of 14, but he got better and improved his skills. Eight months later Red Snake studied him and wanted to train him, but Mike turned the offer down. The time came when he had met Nightmare and he broke Killer Spiders back. Sadly poor Mike wasn't ready to fight his fathers greatest enemy. There was a Service for Killer Spider to get well. He eventually came back.

You must have a lot of fun making these. Wish you showed us issue one before making the rest.
A little help from an Editor-In-Chief(s) would go a long way.

You got some typos and disjointed stories that could have been fixed before you worked so hard to complete the whole thing. Some weird choices for layout, like having a dude in a static pose saying something that probably should be dramatic, but its just a big full page portrait of a guy being idle. The text reflows weird in a lot of the bubbles. You could probably lose the bubbles and go with dialog boxes to get the story flowing. Bubbles are really only essential if there's two or more characters on a single panel, the the bubble points to who is saying what.

Good job on getting all those screenshots and coming up with all the dialog, even if its kind of ..uh weird in spots.

Maybe find Stan Lee's Guide to Writing Comics or whatever that book is called for some tips on plot and character development. There's a copy at my local library, maybe yours to.

    What software do you use?

How are you taking screenshots? Just in game, real time?

if you use /demo_record command you can record 3D video and the play it back and control the camera more freely, or render out frames for video production, or just higher resolution stills than the screenshot command gives (I think they are higher res).

Start learning demo_record stuff in this thread, it links to other threads that are kind of long.

This neverwinter demo_Record thread should be enlightening.

Ouch, you used a script font for some of your comics. Never use a script font for things people will read unless its supposed to be handwritten text. Only three states in the US are teaching cursive writing anymore. There's going to be a whole generation of people who can't even read that stuff, and the only reason cursive was taught after the invention of the typewriter is so that younger generations could read documents the typeless generations created.

Keep at it, it can only get better, but get constructive criticism early and often, it will help you grow your talent. Plus its easier to digest one comic a day/week/month instead of a giant archive. If you are in school take the story outline to your English teacher, the panels to your art teacher. They may be useless or they may have insight.

"That is going to tingle and hurt a lot" Lol.

I've always been a Marvel fan and never a DC fan, but I recommend any of the DC instructional books to the Stan Lee ones. I've read a lot of them, and aside from "How to Draw Comics the Marvel Way" from 1984, the DC books surpass them all. This is a great instructional book.

I am a bit rusty at this stuff, rookie level. This is indeed good advice that I could use. Most of the time I play as the villain myself since no one is like on or just has used all their slots. Anyways, I was also going to say if anyone wants to help me with scripts and playing as the villain, let me know I could really use the help so just give me a pm. Going back to the question of what software i used, I had comic like 1,2, and 3 all of them were free trial. I ran out so I searched up for programs, or downloads I could use, and found one the use for PowerPoint.

Did you get the name Mike Peterson from Marvel:Agents of Shield? He is a main character there.

"Good can be found in heights, even in the deepest pits of evil" but "The valleys of evil always exist in the mountains of good."

I'm currently working on a second series continuing the first one. I've got a script and everything, fixed up the templates, used little bit of demo record. Right now it is introducing two new villains named Nuclear and The Jade Troll. Background Nuclear someone who has dedicated his whole life to science. He gave his own body for an experiment causing him to become Nuclear the bipolar hero who hates Killer Spider, but helps other people. Jade Troll son of Nightmare Killer Spiders worst enemy. He was experimented on by his Father and a mad scientist of Dynamic Labs and has finally unleashed his bestial side on Halloween. Can he stop the Jade Troll and find Atomic? Find out, The Amazing Killer Spider issue #1 and #2 are coming soon. I hope you guys enjoy it^^

Interesting and #6 is far better than #1, which I read and yet had no idea what was going on for quite a bit.

#6 has a better start, but the fonts are tricky like where the doctor shouts "Get him ready for surger-y!" and other disjointed spots. Second and probably my only real issue with everything would be having an editor as someone had mentioned previously.

Ending the comic with "Excellent, you are truly my son. I great triumph unlike Jade Troll." could really have used some editing (just one example).

Got it, I do have an editor and he's M.I.A a lot, but he try his best. Next issue trying to think of which villain I should use, because right now the story is set out, but I just need to edit and stuff. It's going to be another clone he thinks he is the real Mike Peterson, so he try to destroy the real KILLER Spider. Their first encounter was pretty bloodh, second encounter they are trying to team up and stop one of the hired villains that works for James Oken. I just need to know what villain it should be, I could try my rhino homage Hippo which is a smar guy, Cryo Chill, Red WASP, etc., or maybe introducing a new villain I to the franchise. I might even try something called Killer Spider Flash back mini series just so people can catch up on things. Maybe another Spider Universe thing continued.

Could you maybe post it in the correct forum next time, and is it possible you can ask a mod to move this one to the correct forum as well?

This is clearly a "Costumes and Concepts" forum thread, not a general topic.

It's way down at the very bottom of the threads list. Here's a pointer.

This is clearly Fan Base Alpha stuff.

It's making me laugh and its almost a story I can follow, but its very rough on the text. You still have some odd edditng choices like "I must land the final blow" but you just show a guy running at the reader. Let's see that final blow! I guess because you are playing all parts you can't get that screenshot. What time are you online?

Maybe write all your text into something that spell checks, then try to read it backwards so any grammar errors or missing words jump out at you.

Then copy and paste the text to your panels, or ideally use a free desktop publishing app like SCRIBUS that should have word flow from text box to text box, if so, then you just import the text file and then push the text into the appropriate boxes with something like the enter key between paragraphs/panels.

Get yourself some OpenClipArt soundeffects and Inkscape might come in handy.

Paint.net may add some new options to your graphic compositions.

Check out Licecap for making GIFS maybe you can tell your story with animations on a web page.

You can render higher resolution screenshots out of demo_record scenes by setting renderscale to 2 before using the screenshot command, set rendercale back to 1 or less when you are moving your camera into position since renderscale 2 can lag your control.
With higher resolution shots you can make larger framed images, for those action scenes, maybe use Paint.net or whatever to blend a few different scenes into a panel free photomontage.

The 'screenshot' command without the trailing "_jpg" will render very high resolution, poster sized TGA images. It might bog your layout program down so you'll want to maybe crop, scale and save a new file for that, but they are a good starting point for quality images.

    Keep on working at it.

Sorry I was late on the comic, but I'm going to need some help with this event.mof you have a spider toon and you'd like to join me in this story let me know, you either play as an alternate universe killer spider, a clone of him, or just normal other spider friend that wants to help. The clones are the evil ones by the way.

    Big improvements, great work.

I suggest using a text box in the lower portion of the frame as often as you can, the word bubbles and boxes get hectic, crammed, reflow strange, and take up some good graphics.

Not every frame, of course. Maybe more often when there's a lot to say. Maybe when there's only one person speaking in frame and they aren't saying too much you can skip the speech bubble all together. Try to keep the font size consistent for everyone speaking in a regular inside voice, and then use bold if someone says their name or the noun that represents the big threat or evil plan, and italics for the twist of their puns. Save bigger text for dramatic shouting or sound effect.

You can develop some custom box frames with inkscape that tell the reader "this text box is the voice of the evil thing in the frame" or "this text is robotic" without changing font sizes and such all the time,

The Blambot guide to Comic Book typography

There's a free class on 2d artwork and creating compelling character concepts at 3DBuzz, that might help you along. Apparently the free download is super slow.

A free super simple class on storyboarding.
Learn some general principles and you'll be on a whole new level.

So your starting from scratch making Killer a teenager, not a bad idea. I do suggest that when you work on this new thing, focus on Killers love life and stuff. I've read the love parts of the comic but its always Kate which I'm guessing I'd like your gwen, and there was only one issue with Diana. I think you should introduce a new love interst, @kindersworth1 did tell me you are working on that right now, and that the character would be more of Killer Spiders Kitty Pride which is awesome. Just kp up the good work and introduce even more love sequences and new villians.

I am working on this actually and you cunderstand say that the new girl is more of a Kitty Pride kind of person for Killer. I am going to be delayed on the Killer Spider comics because I'm counting the Infinite Enforcers comic series or introducing a new one called "Revolution " Mind controlled vigilantes and villians teaming up under the power of an unknown villian know as Felix. I intend to habe short cameos and give more characters. Killer is part of the Infinite Comics so be aware that he will be in this and that it is the reason the Killer Spider comics might take longer to be posted.
