Help For Devising Fitting and Useful Power Set for AI.

So I have an AI character, and I need a fitting power set that doesn't make her useless.

I was thinking of Electric, or possibly Fire, as the entire concept is that she emits energy to do damage.

Any thoughts?

Electricity and Fire don't really have any special synergy together, and 'AI' is a bit generalized to pin down a powerset if energy projection is also allowed. Would you want to use more Elec/Fire stuff or lean more towards the Ranged Tech trees (PA, Muni, Gadgeteering) but have a sprinkling of Elemental?

To be honest, I was looking at an "all or nothing" spec. All Electricity, or All Fire, or All Power Armor/etc.Build.

Mostly because from my understanding, the max synergy exists between things that are closely related.

There is sometimes synergy between >1 powerset, but its def not a universal thing.

Well, I'll give you a typical Quarry/Int-based template for Fire, Lightning, and PA. If ya want to alter or mix some things, that will be up to you and we can vet that. Else, its more just to give you a general idea..

Main thing to keep in mind w/ Power Amror is that PA slot toggles (hand, shoulder, chest) do not mix well w/ other powersets, since toggling them on disables non-PA powers for the duration. Ofc, not all PA stuff are slotted toggles, so there can still be some mixing possible even w/ PA.

There's pretty good synergy between Power Armor and Electric, since Electric Form buffs all Energy Damage (Electric, Particle, Sonic).

So things like Plasma Beam/Concussor Beam/Eye Beam/Chest Beam will synergy well with Lightning skills.

Just out of curiosity, why wouldn't you go Dex/Int/Ego with the primary and secondaries?

I thought that was the best for raw damage output.

Yea Elec From can open up PA + Electricity mixes.

Ego's additive ranged dmg bonus soft-caps at 70, which ya don't need to SS it for. Also, Quarry's Audacity boosts Ego past that point through Int gearing + Audacity alone. Although Ego PSS can be good, Ego is usually (not always) a waste as a 2ndary SS after the On Alert changes.

Dex PSS may give you more energy issues, though its the universal dps tree. Fire and Elec consume much energy, and their EUs (thermal reverb and ionic reverb) scale off of End. PA is the same, but its EU (OD) scales best w/ Rec (its tooltip is wrong). Int PSS and End have some synergy, as does Int PSS w/ Quarry.

Taking Dex PSS means ya either drop Con SS to keep Int_Ego and End_Rec, and thus be dangerously low-health, or keep Con SS but suffer more energy problems and thus lose dps (Nimble Mind on Ego Surge gives you dps back from Con gearing anyways). DEX/Int/Ego would also have energy issues w/ any of these powersets, as well as being low-health.
