I'm so grateful for the Powerhouse builder. I've gotten so used to it that I can't think with the in-game power builder...I have to tab over to the Powerhouse to see what I'm doing.

Is there any reason to keep The Cursed Archetype? It's the same as The Scourge and I don't see it on the character creation screen. I no longer remember why I have both in the planner; maybe CO renamed it or merged them at some point. Depending on the feedback I get I might remove it and any existing "Cursed" builds would just switch to "Scourge".
As far as I'm aware the Cursed is still available for people who have unlocked it (It's from a discontinued grab bag and is not free for Gold), but it does have exactly the same powers, specs, talents, and superstats as the Scourge. The difference is that its powers are tinted differently by default, which matters greatly to Silvers.
I'd keep them separate just so that no one goes looking for it and gets confused because they can only find the Scourge.
Also, minor but longstanding bug: even though the power picker lists Concentration in all four Tech trees, it only counts as a Gadgeteer power for the purposes of tier requirements. Powerhouse assumes that it counts as whatever tree you got it from, allowing you to get non-Gadgeteer tech powers sooner than is possible in game.
For example this build is valid in Powerhouse, but invalid in game.

Thanks for the informative reply, tdits. I had a feeling Cursed was somehow special, I'll leave it as-is.
I'll work on a fix for Concentration. It seems like it's almost a bug on their part that it doesn't count for all four Tech trees as this is a one-off that works differently from all other powers. You would think that they would just not list it in the other tress if it didn't count for them.
Again, many thanks for all your efforts to keep this incredibly useful tool updated!
I forget if I asked this before, but is it possible to add in a feature that will allows us to list our gear and their stats and mods? Even just having the ability to type them in from scratch in some way (rather then from menus) would be very handy. When players post their builds for critique this is the major piece of data that is almost always missing.

Well at first I thought I would need to add a database backend to support this. But I can fit up to 2K (or 8K depending on the browser) of data in a URL. So maybe just a notes section for adding gear (or anything else). I'll put some more thought into this.

I've added:

- Released version 0.9.27.
- Fixed an issue where each Power Set in the Technology Framework had its
own version of the Concentration Power, when they should all act like
they are from the Gadgeteering Power Set. (Thanks to tdits for reporting
this.)
That would be great. Players could then also list their devices. I often think that the builds posted are a little misleading because they may rely on having certain kinds of gear/devices that can't currently be displayed.

When playing a Munitions build someone else suggested, I noticed a big difference in the way Champions Online lets you build a character versus the way Power House lets you do it.
Champions Online lists Lead Tempest as needing 5 powers from Munitions, or 6 non-Energy Building powers from other frameworks, before you can take Lead Tempest. Trouble is, Concentration is not, apparently, a Munitions power any longer. (Apparently it's got to be specifically Munitions. Concentration is 'Technology'.)
Using Powerhouse, I could grab Lead Tempest as early as 14. But according to Champions Online, I can't grab it before 20. (I have Concentration and Quarry in my build.)

We were just discussing the Concentration issue in recent posts. It should be fixed in the next release.
Thought I would give everyone an update as to why fixing the current issues is taking so long.
It turns out that there is a bug in how the version update code works. This is the code that knows how to interpret and update the d=??? data that defines a saved character. The code works if you always update for every version, but can break if updating multiple versions at once and if there is an overlap of changes. The solution is to rewrite how this system works. Not a complete rewrite, but a significant change that needs a lot of thought and testing. I hope to have this completed soon, and I appreciate your patience.
Take ur time, man. The smaller updates to the build can be pretty easily worked around for now - as long as enough word gets spread around. Even if the build weren't updated anymore from here it'd still be extremely valuable given the current status of the game.

Please test your older versioned builds by copying the URL parameters from your bookmark (everything from the ? and beyond) to the end of the beta site URL. Let me know if any builds do not look correct. Thanks.
Well, I guess there have been some translation errors w/ older links now :x
From what I can gather thus far in my online docs w/ older PH links (some of these are educated guesses, since I can't 100% recall all of my older builds, ofc):
-Unstoppable being listed instead of Defiance
-Sword Cyclone or Burning Chi Fist instead of Bountiful Chi Resurgence
-Dragon Uppercut instead of Masterful Dodge
-Backhand Chop instead of Thunderbolt Lunge
-Defile instead of Resurgence
-Crippling Coils instead of Night Warrior? Not sure
-Mighty Leap instead of Retaliation
-Soul Mesmerism instead of Aspect of the Bestial? Not sure
-Rebirth or Parry or Epidemic instead of Supernatural Power? Not sure
-Vala's Light instead of Hex of Suffering
-Urthona's Charm instead of Skarn's Bane
-Lifedrain instead of Spirit Reverberation
-Redemption instead of Expulse? Not sure
-Shockwave instead of Haymaker
-Haymaker or Uppercut instead of Mighty Leap? Not sure
-Fissure instead of Enrage
-Skullcrusher instead of Arc of Ruin
-Ego Blade Dash or Ego Blade Annihilation instead of Ego Surge
-Collective Will instead of Mental Storm
-Mind Lock and Telekinetic Shield instead of Telepathic Reverb and Manipulator
-Mindful Reinforcement instead of Ego Storm
-Telekinetic Maelstrom instead of Ego Blade Annihilation
-Ego Choke instead of Telekinetic Eruption
-Mind Link instead of Telekinetic Lance
-Ego Blade Breech instead of Mental Discipline? Not sure
-Telekinetic Eruption instead of Ego Blade Dash? Not sure
-Ritual of Primal Summoning instead of Circle of Primal Dominion
-Way of the Warrior instead of Lightning Reflexes
-Elbow Slam or Dragon's Wrath instead of Thunderbolt Lunge
-Concentration instead of Lightspeed Dash
-Fury of the Dragon instead of Dragon's Wrath or Dragon's Claws or Reaper's Embrace? Not sure
-Celestial Cleansing instead of Palliate
-Thunderbolt Lunge instead of Howl or Parry? Not sure
-Masterful Dodge instead of Dragon Kick
-Intensity instead of Way of the Warrior
-Cave In instead of Upheaval
-Seismic Smash instead of Fissure? Not sure
-Bountiful Chi Resurgence and Shuriken Storm instead of Dragon Uppercut and Rising Knee
-Planar Fracture instead of Defile
-Summon Shadows instead of Ebon Ruin? Not sure
So far, aside from when they're sometimes just being wiped clean, the actual stat, spec, and talent choices seem to be unaffected.
Older links to AT builds seem to also be okay, thus far.
Hm, nevermind that bit about older links to AT builds not being affected- some actually are, it turns out. Not usually by replacing powers but by losing advantages, interactivity, and/or oddly being converted to FF templates.
If adding new Awakened powers to the existing sets is an issue in the future, maybe it'd be better to lump them in a new category in the powersets? Current bug may have to to w/ inserting the new powers between existing ones that were already in order.
Thanks for the info flowcyto. So my rewrite of how the updates work is supposed to fix all of this. Please send me links of any that are failing on the beta site, so I can investigate.
Also, can you confirm that the two you linked are working on the beta site? I don't know what they are supposed to have, so I can't compare.
Yes, those both look like the original builds I had for those two examples.
Skimming through the copy of the old version of my Misc build document (saved one before I revised all the links), I see versions 7-9 popping up in all the urls for the old links (mostly ver 9).
I did revise some of the builds since I had to go by memory, so not all are complete re-creations of what I had.
Hope that helps. If ya want me to send a copy of the old Misc Build doc w/ the bugged links, let me know, or if there's anything else that could be useful.
Hopefully this release fixes the updating issues. Let me know if there are any more issues with the new Automaton AT or with updating any older version builds to v10. Thanks for you patience.

Just spot-checked some of the old links in the older version of my document (vers 7-9) and yep, they all seem to have been fixed.
I think that did it. Great work!
The Automation AT link I made right before this update seems to have been changed, but considering its recency I don't think that's a big issue- I doubt many people have posted build links for it or w/ the new powers as is, and its easy to re-update those by comparison.
Thanks so much for putting in the time to fixing this; this is such a useful part of character development/planning that I can't imagine the game without it.

I thought I had completely reverted the production build a month ago, but I accidently didn't revert back far enough and still had v10 code live. So with this recent update I didn't bump the version number like I needed to. I've just hot-fixed this now, and your original Automaton build should be working.
Had you not told me about this, any PA builds made/updated in the last month would have been hosed. Hopefully they are all working now.
Glad I could help, man. Anything to make sure ur awesome planner can continue to thrive 8)
I guess my only lingering concern is: since potentially new reawakened ATs are planned, and thus I assume new powers as well, w/ the new update you will be able to more seamlessly integrate them?

Yes, that part hasn't changed. I should consider showing the groups in the drop-down. Maybe I'll add that feature.

Sounds good. Thanks for all the continued updates- it is very nice to have a builder that is up-to-date. Most other similar apps or sticky threads of info have been obsoleted at least a bit w/ all the recent game changes.
I don't know if you are much involved with Champions anymore, but I thought I'd let you know that they've just added a new powers to the game called Gravity Driver. It's in the Force set. Any chance you might up date the planner with this?
Still hoping for a day when we can type in stats, gear and devices
Again, thanks for the effort you put into creating this so, so useful tool!
Okay, I made a local fix of powerhouse to produce output usable for the new Vanilla boards, but I have no means of updating the actual site, nor do I have a convenient alternative. Anyone have suggestions?
Hm. His github hasn't been updated in the last year. For now, ****=0B5W1bfeiYYxKbVJ4VFhFOC15Z0E has an updated version with an option to export as forum-suitable html (if someone wants to find the icons for the new powers, they'd be easy enough to add).
Hey guys. Thanks for those that have gotten in touch with me.
As you've probably guessed, I haven't been playing the game for a while. Nor have I been following it. However, I would like to update the PowerHouse site with some needed updates. I'll start with:
1) HTML export that works with the new forums. 2) Adding the newer powers that are missing.
alexandercrisalex just sent me a list of new powers and some icons I can use. Thanks!
Many thanks Nullware! Your support of the CO community is greatly appreciated. We need a Nullware Action Figure to honor your efforts!
Thanks for the kind words Jaazaniah and Flowcyto. Being appreciated never gets old ;-)
Alexandercrisalex has sent me an email with a list of powers that are missing or need updating -- with images too! I'm working on those updates now. Thank you Alexandercrisalex!
Pushed a quick update (to live):
2015-12-10
- Updated version number to 0.9.30.
- Updated Export Type: CO to use simple HTML that the Arc forums use.
After trying (and failing) to get tables and colors working with the forum's simple HTML. I just made everything bold. I'm open to suggestions on how to improved the export within the abilities of the forum, if anyone has some ideas. You can also just use the "Text" exporting option too.
Well, it's good to see that the planner it's being updated. Also I am Alexandercrisalex and I was who sent the list of new powers and icons. I am glad they're useful for the community.
Useful Guides about Archetypes and General Gameplay of the Game Click Here
So the color codes you used for the old code still carry over, it seems. Test 1 is the lighter orange used in the main categories (Level #, Name, etc). Test 2 is the yellow color used for power names, stats, etc. Test 3 is the dimmer orange used for the advantages. Test 4 is used in the 'Link to this Build' text.
I'll put the code I used for them below. Change the braces [] to the arrows <> for html.

Sorry for the delay on this. A combination of me being sick and some technical difficulties made this take longer than normal to go from beta to live.

All my saved builds got really messed up.
Idk if have something to do with the addition of the new powers, but powers got messed up on my favorited builds.
Could you take a look at it, please? Thanks!
Can confirm. Perhaps adding the new powers changed some sort of internal index?

For some of the older builds w/ bugged links, the power select screen also automatically shows up w/o prompt, and some of the switched powers don't properly have an adv text. Also sometimes the powers can't be selected as usual. Stats, talents, and spec choices are also wiped clean for a few of them (ex: http://powerhouse.nullware.com/powerhouse.html?v=9&n=&d=1134N00000061F0H000I900I203I80LIG04J5037G00II03IC0G9N01IB01QG010000IL031rWF3T3B2MGB).
Some of them may have also lost some powers completely (ex. http://powerhouse.nullware.com/powerhouse.html?v=9&n=&d=1324aHGMPTK43F07200D203D903A600AD087G00DL05DQ0SDM00DK03QG01DD05000000000d7u3T5X2MGB <- this was a complete build before w/ most power slots taken and all stats-related things selected; this mostly happened to my MA and Earth builds- possibly from Boomerang Toss or Wield Earth).

Sounds good. Thanks for all the continued updates- it is very nice to have a builder that is up-to-date. Most other similar apps or sticky threads of info have been obsoleted at least a bit w/ all the recent game changes.

Still hoping for a day when we can type in stats, gear and devices
Again, thanks for the effort you put into creating this so, so useful tool!

Could also try this, from his site:

(he may not still check this, though)

As you've probably guessed, I haven't been playing the game for a while. Nor have I been following it. However, I would like to update the PowerHouse site with some needed updates. I'll start with:
1) HTML export that works with the new forums.
2) Adding the newer powers that are missing.
alexandercrisalex just sent me a list of new powers and some icons I can use. Thanks!
If there is any other way we can help, Nullware, let us know.

Alexandercrisalex has sent me an email with a list of powers that are missing or need updating -- with images too! I'm working on those updates now. Thank you Alexandercrisalex!
Pushed a quick update (to live):
2015-12-10 - Updated version number to 0.9.30.
Here's an example:

So the color codes you used for the old code still carry over, it seems. Test 1 is the lighter orange used in the main categories (Level #, Name, etc). Test 2 is the yellow color used for power names, stats, etc. Test 3 is the dimmer orange used for the advantages. Test 4 is used in the 'Link to this Build' text.
I'll put the code I used for them below. Change the braces [] to the arrows <> for html.
Test 1
Test 2
Test 3
Test 4
The bold tag is still in there too. Hope that helps w/ the exporting problem.
Other issue is that the longer tags for fonts and stuff may help you hit the character limit sooner, which seems to be stricter nowadays.
