Oh you guys are gonna make me upload me running that new content on an inferno with all my gear taken off aren't you when in very hard mode.

I hope they don't mind me uploading a video of the content on the PTS, the fact I still completed it was kinda stupid though IMO... I could try some of the 5 man stuff on elite mode with a FF with no gear I suppose too.

Upload away. It'll be a waste of your effort.

Just because one can produce a picture of Barrack Obama sitting down to have a beer with both Abraham Lincoln and Yoda, but it does not mean that everyone to believe it.

Regardless of the protestations of everyone who's every said, this game is easy it is NOT EASY FOR EVERYONE.

Over time this game has gotten largely easier for me, mainly because of all of the helpful folks here who put together so many great guides, but it still does not change that truth that many have great difficulty with CO in the beginning and even for some time after.

This would be more like someone producing a picture of a cheeseburger, and the people who see the picture saying "I don't believe that those exist".

Yeah I remember way back before On Alert when I just started the game and only had archetypes I had some trouble... for like the first 11 levels. Since then the "tough" moments have been far and few between.

That's why it's so hard for me to picture people having a difficult time with this game. I've played all the archetypes, as vanilla as you can imagine without any secret knowledge, grinding, or access to unusual resources or tactics... and it's never been difficult for me, not even close.

Maybe it's because I don't consider dying once in a while and having to make a short run back to where I was "difficult". I also don't consider "go level up a bit and try this again" difficult, which is why I wasn't all that impressed with Dark Souls.

Do not confuse far-fetched with utterly impossible, there is quite a big difference.

So anyway, grab some heroic gear with some silver champ recog, hoard up 33,000 questionite for the set of secondaries, find yourself a nice selection of r5+ mods and bam you are pretty well covered for any pve encounter you'll happen to come across...but consider taking a friend or two for lairs and the like, I do that regardless... grouping with people for stuff like that is usually fun.

That doesn't have much to do with gearing up problems, though -- if you're having trouble with PvE content with level 40 green gear, you'll probably still have trouble with Justice gear. The game is easy as long as you know one big thing (which the tutorial doesn't teach you at all): aggro management. You can kill a single spawn of at-level 1-man content with any AT and any gear, or no gear at all. If you aggress five spawns at once, you better have a high end build.

I play awfully in the video. I don't block when I should of and I didn't really know how to play an inferno especially in PvE. (as in I've never really used much of the fire powers out of the powerhouse)

Thing is I'm pretty sure the lower level content is the right level of difficulty, I'm not complaining about that stuff. Which should be the stuff for new players.

But at level 40 the game is WAY too easy now, fire and ice is the hardest thing we have and it's the end game content. Some people find it hard due to not having a tank / a healer in their team but all you need is one of those two and it's gg. I've tanked frosti on my ice form pvp build with ice blast when I had a healer and I was still hitting pretty high dps with double SR's.

The new people to the game should learn the game while getting to 40, there should be early level 40 content for new level 40's to learn the game even more. And once we reach the END OF THE GAME I'm pretty sure people should know enough about the game to be able to challenge that content. Especially on elite mode.

Okay. Apparently I said that incorrectly when I said - Just because one can produce a picture of Barrack Obama sitting down to have a beer with both Abraham Lincoln and Yoda, but it does not mean that everyone to believe it.

    Let's try this again...

Because one can produce a picture of Barrack Obama sitting down to have a beer with both Abraham Lincoln and Yoda, it mean that many are suspect of every picture. Even a picture of a cheeseburger can make people suspect it is not a real cheeseburger.

In short. too many trolls have spoiled the internet.

A few years back there was someone posting these vids showing his great FF build. After 20 or so players had posted "I'm gonna try this build" other non-troll player posted that the troll was using a rare device that no one could find any more etc etc.

My point is if you post an honest vid of you hero getting by with easy success, to a player who is finding the game to still be a challenge is bound to question the validity of a vid.

    { shrugs }

For those that believe ya-da ya-da...

Although this game is complex w/ the FF system (and the vast tailor options), and the game can be tough to break into for newcomers (like most games), once ya know what ur doing ya could still probably conquer most high end content w/ ur toon wearing gear of this quality

The power creep in this game got insane after On Alert. Fixing that would be a pretty monstrous task imo.

But yes, just get SCR gear- good quality and not tough to get. Ya can AH for rare or unique secondaries. I dun find the gear acquisition to be much a hindrance to anything in this game. AH tends to be pretty flooded w/ stuff (at least for 2ndaries, primaries not as much).

Anyway, the general consensus here is that you should probably just invest in Heroic Primaries with Rank 5 Mods and either the Questionite Set Secondaries or just the generic Lv40 Purple Secondaries. They're all pretty easy to acquire, so you should be able to get everything you need in under a week. The thread seems to be getting a bit off the original topic now, so you have fun and take care with the rest of your game.

You can buy decent gear from the auction house. No need to have 'the best in the game', I do absolutely fine using mercenaries gear + armadillo secondaries.

I think the problem here is that you think you need 'the absolute best in the game'. Hardly anyone really needs that, anc comparing the grind here to what you need to get the best in the game in other MMO's, its a walk in the park.
