Normally, Force Block would be blue, but I used Gold (Yellow).

Nuuu, it's still there. it's just, a little popup window, that appears when Defender says block, and by the time you have read it you're already knocked into a little crevice beside the guys holding the worlds up and you can't move and COME ON LET ME UP I HAVE REGEN I'M NOT GOING TO DIE.

That's not really a tutorial but more of a "Hey, did you know you can do this?" at the last second.

The easiest way to block any offensive attacks is to turn off zone chat and whitelist duels.

Block = Putting a finger on the [SHIFT] key and holding it down. Your hero should make a movement to reflect that he/she is Blocking.

Here is a very old vid that shows what that could look like, depending on your hero.

When your hero is Blocking, the incoming damage will be reduced. And by quite a bit. Blocking is mainly used for heroes Versus a "Schtick Attack" which is when your hero spots a "sound effect" bubble above the head of a "villain."

When you see a "Schtick Attack" Block! to reduce damage especially if your hero is already badly damaged.

Sorry to put you through the trouble of finding the info Zed, really didn't expect anyone to take my joke seriously. The joke being that there is no need to block really in CO other than if you aren't a super tank in gravi or fire and ice and don't have masterful dodge up. Lemme go take a picture of me trying to block. :O

Thanks for the Hex Shield, Dec. I only ever see one of those when taking down some VIPER in the wild.

Can't remember the last time I spotted Viper X trying to Block.

Also, I've never seen a Wind Screen up close. Cool.

Robot Ronin is a Freeform mix of Devastator and Power Armor abilities and powers. His main block is the Power Armor Energy Shield. (Oddly enough, the game gets a bit confused sometimes and has him do the motion for the Devastator "Sword Block" - obviously this happens infrequently enough that I've never once gotten a screenshot of it.)

I also have the Laser Knight Advantage on the Power - so as long as he's swinging the big blade, he ALSO has the shield up! Which is useful AND looks hellaciously cool, to boot!

There was a time when blocks only worked in the frontal 180 degrees or whatever it was. Or was it that blocks worked better from the frontal 180...

But that was also back during beta.
