We're already well-supplied with angst, mostly from the half-demon, half-vampire, half-catgirl things with all the spikes on their red-and-black armor what got throwed out of Hell because they can beat up Satan, and now they're moping around RenCen and hanging out in Club Caprice because apparently any random villain in CO is even stronger (which leaves one to wonder why the Kings of Edom didn't just take over Hell themselves, but I digress).

Is that a trick statement? Akira Toriyama designs aren't made of belts and only Chrono had bad hair.

    This however is another story.

I heard about this game when it was in development. Pity the Final Fantasy series ended at 9 and no more were made after that.

No, seriously- let's keep the silly hair out. Some of the tech designs I'm okay with.

    Oh no you didn't.

I've been hearing a lot of complaints from FF fans how X ruined the series.

But take it from me that it's one of the best games ever made.

The franchise died with 7 which was just a re-tread of FF6 (FF3 in the States) and did it poorly to boot. 10 was a colossal mess because the story meandered directionless without a plot or idea just like 7 did, and pulling the same stunt as 7 decided to make it out that the main character wasn't even the main character or the real hero. While 10 introduced voice acting to the series (for better or mostly worse) it also helped cement and end the careers for a number of developers at Square.

FF is just awesome ^__^ why is that?

Each game is different, sometimes they get it spot on FF IV, FFT , FF XII.
Sometimes they bork it FF VIII, FF XIII.
Sometimes they bork it and then UN-bork it FF XIV.
Sometimes they just dont give a sh#t FF X-2 , FF LR. ( gotta love those costumes :3 )
Sometimes they make perfection and they don't share FF type-0.

To be honest its made for the home market somethings just don't carry overseas.

And shut up Lulu is the greatest U__U"

In an attempt to get back on topic; it feels almost painful that such a good costume set is lockbox only. Or rather, that it's gold tier reward.

Mainly cause it's 1000G in the AH.

Personally, I think this should be a standard for all costume sets sold.

A few notes- It's REALLY good to see other quivers for arrows. The Archer-Vigilante I play wears a cape, so no quiver for me.

Also, the 'belt accessory' is a great idea, this should be a category with guns, knives, pouches, swords, all that kinda stuff- especially when we have to sacrifice a 'leg acessory' to wear a tonfa or sword on the belt.

I really don't think costumes that aren't holiday-specific should be lockbox-only. I'm an LTS but would have been happy to drop a few bucks actually buying Zen to get the costume set, instead of waiting another 3 weeks for my stipend to hit. I used to do that in the past, back when cool stuff hit the C-store faster than a stipend could cover it.

Lockboxes are basically B.S. unregulated online gambling. When i want to gamble, I head to the casino or buy a lottery ticket.

I had zen to drop on this. Then I found out it was lockbox only with a terrible drop rate. Unless the global price goes down significantly or the Q I throw at keys finally gets me something other that crap, I doubt I'll be bothering.

Maybe add a low slung quiver belt as another choice of quivers:

    khwaracav19.jpg

There should also be crossbows for munitions.

the archer set, includes a leg quiver, check under accessories. I found it by accident.

Does the Archer set allow both a quiver and a cape at same time? Is there a neck slot quiver?

It allows one cape for the neck slot, and the back quiver.

There are also mini quivers for the belt and thighs.

Unlike lockboxes, I actually get good drops. So if there is anything either of you are looking for, let me know and I'll send it to you if I should find it.

Coolest part of this set is the 'belt accessory' category. Granted, there's only 3 costume parts you can put there (all of them smaller quivers- left, right, or rear), but I hope they use this category in the future for other weapons, pouches, and things like that.

I can honestly say I hate most 'fantasy' themed costumes, but this one has parts IDEAL for any archer, and I'm using them on my modern vigilante archer, RAPTURE!

The pants are also pretty cool for a 'tactical' look, since you can throw most of the leg accessories on them, unlike tucked pants.

That smaller hood is also a major bonus.

The AH prices have already shot into the sky. 1000 G and higher, which locks us Silvers out of buying one. And I can't spare any cash to buy keys since I'm moving into my own place and money will be even tighter than now, when I have a roommate to split costs with.

So yeah, any of the generous types who want to help me make the perfect costume for my female elf, feel free to hit me up. @SatoruMasamune is always grateful for gifts.

you'll have to wait till friday (payday)to see if I get anymore spares(I'm in Australia so US Thurs)

I like the shirt from it. The short version(without the bit below the waist matches in with most trousers and skirts. If you use shirt cuffs with it, under bracers, you can make it into a semi formal shirt.

Ok the wrinkles on the left arm clip through every jacket but it is a nice shirt.
The jacket/vest is quite good with shirts.

    Love the saggy boots.
the prices were 1000g to start with. the drop rate has been awful on the costume.
ok blue canary is @SatoruMasamune ingame
    melphon is ?@...........
we'll just add Kallethon to the list @.........

can't mail, with no @handle and I mail them in order of people who ask.

I would like to see lockbox costumes in the C-store once the boxes are gone. You could make alterations to them to make them a bit different from the box ones so when the boxes come back they are still relevant.

The prices for the Archer costume set were already sky high. They've been slowly coming down now. I'm still holding out to see if any hit the AH for a price I can both afford and feel okay with paying.

Unfortunately this has been responded to, they don't want to step on the feet of those who opened the boxes or something like that.

Though I would imagine PW would fear its affects on key sales once people realized they didn't have to gamble for the items they wanted.

I also see no reason why I shouldn't give away spares of items. When the tank boxes came out, I gave away over 40. (the tank boxes loved that character)

Once I get in, I'll mail it scorpagor- mailed it.
