A question. Is there a chance that a some point you might add places to list pieces of gear and their attributes? Just a place where we could type in the names of the pieces and list what the gear (w/ mods) does.

Also, have you ever thought of adding a "Notes" field where people could type things in they want to remember about their heroes for future planning. E.g. "Remember to retcon SSS as Con?"; that sort of thing.
The main reason why I *can't* add this sort of thing is that nothing is stored on the server. Everything that makes up a character is contained in the URL. So adding free-form text to this URL would be problematic. Also, there is a limit (2000 characters or so) to the length the URL can be.

Now if I limited it to just gear stats which then determine the final character stats, that might be doable. See the last two bullet points in the possible enhancements section:

    http://powerhouse.nullware.com/

Whether or not I ever get around to doing this is another issue.

Ah, okay. I didn't understand how it was set up. Having the gear stats would be wonderful. Thanks again for all your hard work that helps so many people.

That's pretty awesome. The only reason I could previously use Powerhouse on my phone is because the stylus reacts differently than a touch. I was unable to do builds without it.

    Thanks!

I just noticed that the X on the powers pop-up overlaps quite severely with the icon for Unarmed. It leaves an area only a few pixels wide where I can actually click the X.

Firefox 25.0 on Windows 8.1, if that makes any difference.

Hi there, thanks for updating the site with the close window option.

There's a problem with choosing the power Dragon's Wrath under dual blades. Even when following the proper power progression or choosing it from level 20 onwards, it appears to be un-choosable. I clicked it but the selection stays blank. It does work properly in the offline version.

I've noticed that the generic Sorcery and Martial Arts powers aren't being designated as such. If you take Eldritch Bolts under Ebon Sorcery, it won't let you take Aura of Arcane Clarity under Arcane Sorcery. Likewise, taking 3 general Martial Arts powers will not allow you to take a Tier 2 power from a specific Martial Arts set unless those 3 general powers were selected from the same power set as the desired Tier 2 power.

The reverse case seems to be fine though. Taking Rain of Steel (Dual Blades energy builder) will allow you to take Thunderbolt Lunge from any of the Martial Arts power sets.

Yep, this is a known issue and is not easy to fix. Has this prevented you from making a build? I would be more motivated to try and fix it if you or someone else told me they could not make a valid build due to this limitation.

Having said that, it is still annoying, if nothing else. I'll give it some thought and see if I can come up with a solution.

Ty for the great work on Powerhouse..

Would it be possible to add a Role icon somewhere? I noticed in a recent thread that the game does not guide you to the use of Roles, so maybe getting higher exposure through Powerhouse would be good!

Bug: Turning on the "No pop ups" and "Confirm Selections" options for touch screens does not work properly for Ranks and Advantages.

When using these options and selecting Ranks/Advantages, the Rank is automatically selected, then the Confirm dialog appears. If you cancel out, deselecting the box will trigger confirmation again.
Yep, this is a known issue and is not easy to fix. Has this prevented you from making a build? I would be more motivated to try and fix it if you or someone else told me they could not make a valid build due to this limitation.

A workaround that will allow you to complete the build is to take a valid power at the desired level, and take the desired power at a valid level. Then click the desired power and replace it with the placeholder from the first step. This will swap the powers, allowing you to get a power into an invalid slot. It will appear grey, but the build can still be completed.

If the fix is tpo difficult to implement, would it be possible to add a "Allow invalid power selections" option, that allows you to select any power at any level, but still greys out invalid powers, as in the workaround?

And while we're adking for stuff:
-Can you add a "Add all" button to the confirm screen for Specs that maxes out the spec, or puts as many points as you have left into it if you don't have enough? This would be in addition to the existing Confirm button.
-Can you make it so that it's possible to select Rank 2 of a power without selecting Rank 1 first, and both get selected, provided you have enough points?

Both of those are just little QoL changes. If implementing them is too complex, feel free to ignore them.

I've been using the workaround mentioned by flamingbunnyman. So it's not really hampering me in anyway other than saying the occasional "it just looks invalid but it's fine" to people.

Not sure what you mean or would like. Could you elaborate?

I'm not sure I want to add anything that is not part of building a character. Although you define roles that you use, you also have specific gear for builds too. There are a lot things that could be added, but they all add complexity and must be maintained.

I'd rather just figure out a real fix.

Can someone link me to a build that has a grayed out power that cannot be made otherwise?

These are both interesting. The second one I can/should do. The first one would require a custom confirmation method just for specializations. I'll think about it, but not sure if I'll add that or not.

Here's a setup with an unavoidable greyed out power.

Eldritch Bolts should be providing for both Sigils of the Primal Storm and Aura of Arcane Clarity. There are no Tier 0 powers to move up, so at least one power in the Lv. 1 and 6 slots will have to be grayed out.

    Long-time powerhouse user here.

How come it doesn't let me access the power menus when I try to pick something anymore?

For example: Let's say on this one build I have, I want to replace Energy Shield with Ebon Void. Usually when I click on it, a little menu sows up that shows me all the powers I can choose from. The menu no longer shows up.

Please tell me I'm not the only one thats having this issue...

It could be related to one of the new options. Click the Prefs link and see if adjusting anything fixes it.

If you figure out what's causing it, please post your solution, so that it's easier for Nullware to reproduce and fix!

Also, I'm not 100% sure I understand what you're saying is happening. If you can, post a screenshot. And of course, share what web browser, OS and device (if using a phone or tablet). The more info a dev has, the easier it is to identify and fix problems.

My guess is the same as bunnyman's. That you have some pop-up blocker running on your browser. Pop-ups must be allowed for PowerHouse to work.

Also, make sure you force your browser to refresh the page cache. View -> Reload should do it.

Sorry if I did not reply earlier.

What I suggested was to add the choice of Role: Melee Damage, Ranged Damage, Tank, Hybrid, Support.

This would be a nice thing to add, mainly for copy/pasting builds for a forum discussion.

By all means, it is just a minor thing so if it takes too long to code it in np.

    As always ty for Powerhouse!

You are correct, I'm not able to reproduce it.

Please note that the last update to the PowerHouse web site was on 11/12. If it was working for you after that, then something else is going on here.

I found an error in the new telepathy powers: Shadow of Doubt has Crippling Challenge, not Challenging strikes as it is single target.
Tooltips on these powers might be wrong as well if they use the initial tooltip description (it came out wrong from the PTS).
