"My Characters" is back up, and I believe we'll be able to bring back RMC tomorrow as well!

    Great news!

    Hopefully the fact that the character I'd selected as 'Main' is missing from that page is a temporary error.

    There is something strange about the biographies. The day before yesterday I entered one in-game for my main character, but when I try to edit it on the web site or change the image's background the site says there would less than 500 characters allowed.

    Storing the description into a file that file is exactly 500 bytes of size. Strange is that even deleting a line break and thus removing one character the size it still doesn't work whereas in the in-game editor I could even add - I don't quite remember - one or two characters.

    The description does not contain multibyte characters, only 7-bit ASCII in an 8-bit field characters. It does not contain any character for which you would usually use HTML entities either. So the only two explanations that come into my mind is that the website considers the size of biography while it is URL-Encoded (replacing all white spaces by %20 for example), or that it somehow uses <CR><LF> for line breaks whereas the in game editor uses <LF> only.

    I cant access this "my characters" or "rate my champion". If I click the links on the front page, it simply links back to the front page..

    I can access My Characters... But No pictures come up for them...? And if I click on Rate My Champion, it just takes it back to the homepage...

    Edit - Never mind... Just read that this was for just My Characters... And they hope to have RMC up later...

    Now, I'm going to learn to read...

    Maybe you weren't properly logged in when you tried? The options is still being displayed while you're not, but it will just load the frontpage if you try...

    No I tested further. The link is not working for firefox. With firefox it simply links back to front page.

    For internet explorer it works, but no character portraits are coming up, and clicking the portraits or "set as main" button doesnt do anything. What should happen?

    You might try clear the Firefox cache then. If you haven't tried yet you may try log out, restart the browser and log back in to force it to create an entirely new session. You have to close all Firefox windows to really force it to end the session. And check whether Javascript is enabled. If you have any manually security plugins for Firefox turn them off. I had some problem with Opera (some links don't work), but Firefox works perfectly.

    Set As Main is a feature that pre-launch was intended to tell the server which character would end up on the RMC, i.e. whatever you set as your main, that was the hero to be posted on RMC. You could change it whenever you wanted, and it also tells people (I guess) who your main hero is in-game, if you want it to reflect that as well.

    As for me, I'm running Internet Explorer, and Set as Main works fine for me.

    Maybe it has something to do with the server being down? I'd think they pull the images and stuff from their database...

    I can see my character Portraits, albeit the one I had previously set as my main is missing ENTIRELY.

    Also although I can see the protraits no details can be had via clicking on them (likely due to maintentnace)

    Even so I pretty concerned my main has apparently gone missing from My characters.

    Most likely My Characters will work properly again once the servers are back up to sync with. But I wish a moderator could link my uploaded avatar http://www.champions-online.com//dyncontent/fightclub/uploads/avatar/371447 to my forum account, since it doesn't do so automagically (or read automatically :p) it seems.

    Err, no.

    Set As Main is intended to be the character that displays as your avatar if you've selected that option in your avatar settings (My Account->Settings->Select Your Avatar).

    During early Closed beta it had that function as well.

    Awesome but.... my main character is not on there anywhere! My 2 alts are there, and my main character is there in-game still just not under My Characters on the website.

    I had that problem too, my main was missing but my alts were there. I selected one of the alts as the main, and the missing main reappeared, and I could reselect him as the main.

    Hmm, still getting the "No characters in the database." - even after servers were back up and I logged in my character (and created a new one). Only me, or are this a issue for most people? I still have the issue that changing my Avatar to Custom/My Character just doesn't change it here on the forums what so ever, so could be just me I guess.. the CO site isn't very kind to me :-)

    Looks like something more is wrong... now with even internet explorer the "my characters" link on front page only links back to front page. Previously it did it with Mozilla firefox only.

    I can access my characters, but I still can't get any forum avatar displayed in the forums ...
    Neither a custom, nor a main character avatar.

    Quick fixes never really fix the problem, so always take your time and do a proper job!
    The results are always worth the wait.

    "My Characters" is back up, but probably too soon. I can understand the rush to return a liked feature to the player base, but perhaps you should make sure it's working before you get our hopes up. My characters are listed but I can't access most of their bios. Profile settings are inaccessible across the board. None of the characters levels are up to date...and Rate My Hero is still not up at all.

    We can live with the fact that delays happen. But if it comes down to getting my pork chops a little late, I'd prefer that than having to eat them undercooked.

    Yeah, I can see my character portraits (except for my main), but can only access some of them. I get "Unable to find character" errors for the others. Also, some of the information (level, current quests) for the ones I can view is significantly (like, a week) out of date.

    I really love this feature, though. Where else can you get a hi-res, poseable render of your character for nothin'? That is a faboo toy. Heck, this game in general is faboo. One day, perhaps, I'll stop rolling up new characters long enough to get one past level 20.

    My characters are showing but my main, Titan, has the wrong costume on. Not sure if this is due to a mix up at the dry cleaners or if the website is broken. When I click on him I do get the correct character and bio however.

    Like you guys, I'm having trouble with My Characters and also trying to see the Character Profiles for my Friends off of the Friend's list and I also get the "Unable to find character" message when it takes me to the My Character's page and also it won't let me change my main toon as it, as well, comes up with the error message.

    Did these forums recently reset from a backup? I seem to be missing some posts I made yesterday..

    Anyways I still cant access this service from the link on front page on firefox or IE.It just links back to front page.

    Ah I found out what was the problem for me. The front page logged me out if I clicked "return to champions online" from top of page.. Sorry about confusion :D

    Update to my last: my avatar is now showing the correct image as is the My Characters page. The big RMC page is still showing the borked outfit but it seems to be filtering through.
