Well by that I mean that in the images the Cybermind costumes are glowing in the official image:
9b7166238354acd0be18e5b9922bbbdd1376964785.jpg
but they don`t actually glow in the game! Can I ask why?

Why they added some glowing costumes at the beggining of this Story Arc like SOCRATES Helmet, SOCRATES Chest Piece and any other SOCRATES costumes just to "wake up" that the Cybermind costumes AREN`T GLOWING?

And is not only me that is unhappy about this sittuation! Many players are!

This was a really a hard hit for us, the CO player community!

I haven't bothered to go after this event's costume pieces, so I don't know... but are you sure you didn't overlook the glow sliders?

    It's a bug.
Something very common for Cryptic - they can't do it right on many costumes. Test versions screenshotted by developers have glows while those released sold/gived to players don't.

Iron age set has it unfixed a long, long time on chest straps. 90's chest straps from recognition vendor are affected as well.

Actually, it isn't bug with costume parts, but with character creator. Those costumes aren't properly marked there and you simply don't have glow slider enabled.

Well... Cryptic and costume-related bugs. Better be used to it.

If a material has a glow value then you'll see a glow slider when you choose a color for that material. First place to look is on the eyes, since you don't need a costume part to make them glow.

*Glow not included, the costume piece might not be available in metal, leather and just fabric.

They should appease the angry ones with glow on all materials on all costumes.
    Yeah.Thats the ticket.

oh you can do this in game type into the chat:

    /console

then hit the tilde key ~ and then type

    unlit 5.0

Might have to log out and back in to reset your lights.
I can't seem to tell what's 'normal' once I futz with this.

The "glow noobs" are the ones who use every piece that has glow and maxes it out, making a very glitchy, very stuttery look. Beta had glow on just about everything but had to be removed due to issues it caused with peoples systems.

I would have liked to see some glow on these pieces, but frankly, it's hardly a "hard hit" to the community. I think the bigger hit to the costuming community is the lack of costume packs in the z store lately with too many new pieces being shoved into lottery boxes.

Its probably a glitch and not on purpose. Happens with several costumes. Just report it.

^^ This. When theres like 3 or 4 super glow noobs standing around in ren cen the FPS drops like a brick.

And its not like my main computer is **** it can run Crysis 1,2 and 3 at the same freaking time no slow down no overheat , the games just programed badly.
Thats why some players hate the glow noobs OP.

Consider this OP. Cryptic might have turned the glow off on purpose while they fix the issue.

The pieces are actually old costume unlocks made a long time ago but were released just now. The only reason Cybermind's pieces glow is because the Dev tailor gets to make any color glow and gets to have any number of pieces on a character as they please.

Drops are never tested when implemented.

Fist of all you that`s not the purpose of glowing slider on costumes. But some costumes does deserve a glowing slider.

Friends don't let friends abuse glow.

    -A public service announcement

And yeah, I run a pretty darn good system, and too much glow will begin to affect my FPS, the glow will start blinking on an off. It's terrible. That's exactly why not every piece has a glow slider like it did in beta, or alpha, or whichever it was before release.

Given that in the same blog, we showed an image of the costume pieces on a player character, I don't feel any misdirection occurred. Many NPC costume pieces behave differently than the versions adapted onto characters.

Some cotumes have this glow slider, I like to call it "glow option". This glow slider is always in the colours window, the window that pops us when you change a colour of a specific costume! Not only premium costumes have this glow slider! Many free default costumes have this and I you will find it on the costumes you even won`t think they have it!
Therakiel wings, nephilim halo and even some glasses have this glow slider.

Thank you for title changing! Ok, but Cybermind costumes with a glow slider isn`t a bad ideea! In fact that would be awsome! I through they had the glow slider from the beggining! And when I discovered the costumes doesn`t have it, I was really dissapointed like many players here! That`s why I made this thread.

How about giving the Cybermind Tights a Glow slider. You know, the lines in arms and legs.
And i find bigger issue about that the bracer "tubes" dont connect to the back, but to the shoulders.

I find Smackwell very (too much) kind. Half of the posts replying to the OP stink ironism, sarcasm, and trolling. Some people are just joking about the OP and his way to saying things. If these people (who don't have to answer to this post of mine) find the OP funny or ridiculous, just go away and don't comment. Go post wherever you think your ego will be valorized and leave the thread to those who take the topic seriously.
    Thank you.

There are issues with animations and scaling.
Imagine the tubes, hand to back, in default arc..., then I've got five foot long arms, and five foot wide chest, and I'm in beast stance, and doing backflip everywhich way acrobatics, and shooting some purple guys with a blast attack.
Just imagine what happens to that costume part.
Its doesn't have enough polygons and a beaded string of bones through to handle
the physics, maybe it will in Next Champions:How Soon(tm) is now?.

Also the costume part would have to be in categories Bracers or Gloves and Back.

Just a little addition.. It was said previously that we got glow on SOCRATES pieces, well no, the shoulders don't glow. To make this even more frustrating the costume unlock item for the bracers dooesn't appear to glow, but the piece does, and the item for the shoulders appears to glow but the piece doesn't. Grrr

And I wish you could pay more attention to what you wear on!
Your observation is valid at some point! They don`t glow when they are "Cloth" but at "Leather" and "Metallic" textures they do glow!
