Become Security Process C-Store?

circleofpsi#4619 circleofpsi Posts: 2,959 Arc User
Hay people seem a bit pointless to talk about but I just hopein if the Become Security Process whuold be in the C-Store I find that its way to pricey in the AH just because of "lockboxs".

I find that players are to worked up about becoming rich in this game and is alot unfair. Just my option no need for harsh ****.

Anyways what you people think if it will be in the C-Store or not

The Become devices from the Forum Malvanum lockbox weren't put on the C-Store. It seems unlikely that this one will either.

I don't think its really much of a thing for them to put new ones in the store, otherwise there would be less to get from the lockboxes and thus less sales.

Its a shame that they don't put becomes in the store anymore, unless you count vehicles which you should, since the Lemurian Power Armor. There hasn't been a good become device since Black Talon.

In general, vehicles get a lockbox version, a Drifter store version, and a C-Store version, with the former being the most expensive (on average) to obtain and with the best stats, the latter being the cheapest to get, with the weakest stats.

I see no reason they couldn't do that with Become devices. It would take more work, since Becomes have prebuilt power loads, while vehicles just have slots, but it would still be easier than making two completely different Becomes.

The simple answer here is, they don't want our money in one lump sum, even though people are willing to pay all out for an item PWE has this idea in every single one of their games that charging a dollar over and over again, will eventually pay out more.

The only problem with that logic is the assumption that your player base doesn't know what you're actually doing, in which case if they actually do know whats going on, and just not buy anything at all, or spend less and less.

We used to get everything put in the C-store but nowadays, we're getting the new ^^^^^ approach in the form of lockboxes. If you haven't figured it out yet op, you're probably one of the players mentioned in the above statement.

Would it make more sense for them to put both options in? Sure. But then they'd sell less scam boxes.

That strategy works in the Asian market, where PWE is based and gets most of their income.

They somehow haven't yet realized that plan of attack doesn't work stateside.

Point of clarification: While our parent company, Wanmei, is based in East Asia, Perfect World Entertainment and Cryptic are based in the Bay Area. We work with the optimal monetization plan for our market.

I don't think it likely that the become devices from the lockbox will go into the C-Store. It wouldn't be fair to the people who've already won those prizes.

Considering how long they've lasted, I imagine that the financials that we are not privy to would contradict your last statement.

It wasn't fair for anyone to have them in the lockboxes in the first place.

BTW, Become Gladiator still binds to one character. I have yet to play with it. That also doesn't seem fair.

so what is pwe/cryptics plan for this game? is pwe still going with useless story arcs or are you actually going to put effort into this game?

    That's make sense.

BTW, what can we do with Become Security Process (or Gladiator)?
Most of us doesn't even have idea. :3

We know very well about Doom Lord and Celestial, those are doing heavenly good job in Gravitar and Cybermind.
Doom Lord and Celestial are so much good, so me personally doesn't feel need Security Process (or Gladiator).
Probably most players are opening boxes for Legions and nice design Vehicles. :(
But I already have Legions and Grav Bike Widow with full modded, so I can't find reason to buy Cosmic Keys for while.

    *eyebrow raise*

Now, I'm not going to say the last few plotlines have been the finest moments in CO's history, but calling them useless story archs seems a bit over the top. As I recall the last 5 plotlines have had:

2.) The reintroduction of a core champion, namely Nighthawk.

2.) The return of Doctor Destroyer, and his assault on the UNTIL Hellacarrier

3.) The invasion of the city by the Lemurians, in suitably awesome terms.

4.) The introduction of the Forum Malvanum, a long awaited part of Champions canon.

5.) The introduction of Cybermind, and a long wanted tron esque storyline.

Each of these events has come with its own signature alert, new vehicles, new costume sets, and new powers. I wouldn't call those useless by any means. Maybe the lockboxes are a bit tedious....but I'm happy to trade those for the above listed improvements.

Also, it beats the heck out of getting nothing at all. A state of affairs we've all seen before.

I can't find him in game. He was added, right?

2.) The return of Doctor Destroyer, and his assault on the UNTIL Hellacarrier

    Resistance was added YEARS ago.

3.) The invasion of the city by the Lemurians, in suitably awesome terms.

Wasn't that incomplete? I thought there were comic panels and the lemurian drill vehicle.

4.) The introduction of the Forum Malvanum, a long awaited part of Champions canon.

I can't find this place in game. Its important enough to be permanently added, right?

5.) The introduction of Cybermind, and a long wanted tron esque storyline.

Oh Cybermind? It would have been better as a precursor to Mechanon. Cryptic North has to start Foxbat small it seems.

I'd rather get Tumorboy's nothing then the other nothings. Laser sword.

Maybe you need some sort of glasses to see him in Smash or Grab alerts.

    Resistance was added YEARS ago.
And your point here is....? Because I really don`t see your point here. What? You hate so much Dr. Destroyer that you don`t like no any other content with or about him?

Wasn't that incomplete? I thought there were comic panels and the lemurian drill vehicle.
In the meanwhile MC got rebuilded!
I can't find this place in game. Its important enough to be permanently added, right?
LOL, now you really need some glasses! The FM Alert is part of the custom alerts and is permanent AND is in rotation! Do me a favour and check the in-game calendar! Also, the FM Alert WAS ACTUALLY ACTIVE before the Cybermind alert was live!
Oh Cybermind? It would have been better as a precursor to Mechanon. Cryptic North has to start Foxbat small it seems.
Cybermind was a long awaited Villan to be added as part of CO! And his costumes (not to mention the AFs) are really nice DESPITE THE FACT THAT THEY DON`T GLOW! Mechanon doesn`t have any link with the Cybermind! The fact that you see him as a precursor of Mechanon is really your personal oppinion! And your personal oppinion doesn`t mean you are actually telling the truth!
But what did you would enjoy better, a funny story arc with Cybermind or a boring one with Mechanon?
Also, it beats the heck out of getting nothing at all. A state of affairs we've all seen before.
Get some glasses and read what he already writed before! We got some new powers (sadly only for FFs), costumes, missions, alerts, AFs! What else you really want?
Affairs? What "affairs"? If you didn`t knew before games are actually affairs if that was your point!

My responses were in yellow. I think it is you that needs glasses.

I believe you wanted to argue this one.
I'd rather get Tumorboy's nothing then the other nothings. Laser sword.

Though since you don't understand the point of my responses (which is the importance of adding meaningful change and development of a game to prevent stagnation), I'm certain you won't know who Tumorboy is either.

Yep. Despite how much people hate them, from what I've seen here and in other games, they make the sales.

That said, I'd rather just buy the things I want to buy, not buy a lottery ticket for the things I want to buy.

Don`t judge the people you really don`t know.

And I didn`t write that "SNIP" word anywhere in this thread or even in this forum! I didn`t knew what it means, anyway! Why do you post things I never written?? Please tell me, because you made me courious!

I really don`t care what colour you use for your responses, thanks God I still can read verry well! And by the way the "Laser Sword" is in black! Why?
I believe you wanted to argue this one.
I was a bit rude but only because of your arrogance and your ignorance! I really liked what response sended to you thelastsonofzod and what I did was to prove why you are wrong and why he is right!

I did understand your resonses and I answered them! The fact that you couldn`t contradict my argumentation it makes them pretty solid! And no I don`t know who is Tumerboy because when I googled that thing, the only things that appear were some boys with tumer (cancer) at ther neck!

Anyway, this is my last reply to you and to this thread since you and me don`t want to argue each other!

You'll probably fail to see this reply, but he's perfectly right if you see things from the right perspective. For example, they may now have the occasional Nighthawk alert, but the character itself can't be found in the regular game world. You can find all of the Champion's somewhere.

If you were around for tumerboy, you'd know what it was like for the CO playerbase to actually like a dev.
