I've run it on several alts, and the difficulty really seems to depend on what kind of character you're playing. I'm unable to finish on my PFF/force guy, mainly because PFF won't recharge fast enough to survive the boss and his infinitely-spawning minions- and since he doesn't drop powerup while you're fighting him, PFF doesn't get any boosts from those, either.
On the other hand, my guy with Invulnerability barely took a scratch.
One big complaint for me is that drops are extremely rare. I've gotten one helmet to drop- mostly I get resources.

So... let me get this right! You are lifer =many alts, also means you can do many runs, right? And after so many runs you got only 1 helmet?
Then please explain why I got all the drops in just 10-11 runs? And btw, I`m silver!
Five runs I got nothing but mods and vendor trash.
Did notice something, was teamed with a level 23 Grimoire on Free for All loot mode, all the drops were for her when I was sidekicked down, presence, intelligence, end over and over, when we sidekicked up I got a crap ton vehicle mods and gear only good enough for scooping poop from a boot.
The ending cut scene screwed me out of drops three times.
There sits the drop in the cut scene, about 60 feet from where I was fighting last.
Kind of hard to see rewards with a big enemy filling the entire hallway and nearly
non stop spawning mobs even at the respawn point.
Yeah the bits attack like the foxbat floodlights, ie, no freakin' sound.
Barely audible Tip ... tip is all that comes from them and the effect on the character is "I didn't take my meds and I'm going through fits", from that you are supposed to scan the red on black everywhere for a red on black cube or three.
What an annoying soundless enemy.
All the special drops are from the winner's circle at the end.
The boss drops the same stuff as the mobs: mostly vendor trash, some recog, some lockboxes, and a very few mods. I have gotten R5 mods when running it at level 40.
I found it laughably easy on my Savage, which has his Regeneration passive at R3. Not even the boss was hitting me hard enough and fast enough to outperform my healing.
Fatal Error is certainly visually insteresting and puts one into an entirely new environment. Its graphics are well done, though it's certainly not the pinnacle of cyberspace environments I've seen. For that the hallways would have to be transparent and you would be able to see a vast environment of neon datastreams in the void around you as you travel through the system.
The mission itself is a bit uninspired. You walk down two parallel running hallways and get to fight the boss in the end. There is a certain interest how it might go on, but it's not like it draws you in like Whiteout and Demonflame. I didn't have the feeling of any immanent threat to Millennium City during the mission, it rather felt like fixing some computer issues.

I'm at 9 and counting with nothing but resources to show for it.
Also, I agree with nextnametaken that the ending cutscene preventing you from getting drops off of the boss is pretty lame.

Whoever you are, be that person one hundred percent. Don't compromise on your identity.
The boss and the enemies he summons during the fight drop normal rewards. The costumes etc are in the reward circle.
That said I've gotten an R5 Con mod and plenty of gold worth of vendor trash running the mission. Missing out on even normal drops is kind of lame.
Sweet God, do I ever LOVE that ability.
