UNITY no longer daily.

Cryptic. UNITY, with its randomly generated maps, assignments, and scaling, should not be a once-a-day thing, especially since the rewards are gone.

If we want to form a group of friends and beat up villains over and over again all day in randomly generated maps, and that's someone's idea of fun, let us!

Let us kick evil's face in for its own sake in pre-formed groups.

I played four of these missions in two years.
Travel long distances to repetitive unimaginative maps of the same loitering
mobs from the last forty levels. Yawn.

The balance of making it a daily is the Silver Recog. If Silver Recog wasn't an issue, than we would get at least 10 per Custom Alert daily.

Lol you make me laugh! That`s the ideea of UNITY, DUDE! To give you random missions, you complete those missions in one day and after you do that you can do the final Overwatch mission!
    ... should not be a once-a-day thing
Huh?! And how it should be, MR. Genius? permanent missions? Did you ever played DCUO? I guess not since you say these things!
... especially since the rewards are gone.
And since when they stop giving Silver Recognition, UNITY AFs and UNITY Merits????

I happen to agree with "Mr. Genius". UNITY alerts could be fun if implemented correctly, or even allowing them to be repeated every couple of hours. Also last I checked Champs isn't DCUO, so why make the comparison?

The gear, which is what the lockouts were originally made for, is gone. So what if we could grind AF and costume parts? I can already grind recognition and snake bucks for parts and AFs all day.

I see nothing wrong with hours and hours of non-stop UNITY missions with a pre-formed team.

Yeah, cause adding a que to the missions would be so terrible...I mean, how will you get your fix for pointlessly travelling all over the place?

Why make the comparison? Because both games have some similarities! When you reach the end-game there you must farm (just like here) some end-game tokens to get your gear! The end-game there is much more complex than here so I won`t spending time explaining it but sure there are some (sort of) alerts which gives you same tokens as the missions does but the point is that, the missions where you can gain those tokens hasn`t been replaced totally by alerts, like you and smoochan suggest here! So if in that game the end-game missions didn`t being replaced by alerts, why PW should do that to CO?
Sure, if you wanna say that, besides missions should be some sort of UNITY alerts, I can be agree with that!

Dear smoochan the UNITY missions from the UNITY building in MC, they aren`t the only one you can do! If you wanna farm some serious Silver Recognition, then I suggest you to unlock the UNITY 2 missions (the VB ones). Sure, they are longer than the UNITY 1 but what do you choose: "travelling all over the place" or staying in one location where you can gain a lot of Silver Recognition?

So I guess you don`t like the UNITY TPs, and neither the costumes or the devices from the consumables? And I see here that you also like spending your Gs on Heroic Gear (who has being farmed by something else instead of you)!

I never once mentioned that the reputation has been replaced. I just agree with the option to repeat the missions more than once a day. Also Brou never said that the tokes are gone either, he's referring to gear drops that are no longer available with UNITY missions.

And as far as how others view the mission(s) worth, who cares if they gather resources for purchasing items? They had to work to get the G to buy items in the first place, so no need to belittle them for using alternate ways to enjoy the game.

Well, I still do a lot of UNITY missions for primary gear because even if I have enough Gs in game to buy 1 set of heroics, maybe more than one, I simply don`t because I can spend that G on something more usefull instead (like devices for example).

Anyway, is everybody choise if they farm or buy the gear in this game! So I guess you are right!

Be glad that in this game you still can buy your gear because in DCUO the only method to get the gear was by farming (you couldn`t access the AH and even if you could possibly access it, the prices were too high for a F2P player to buy that gear)!

Don't you get silver champion commendations for Unity missions as well? I am pretty sure you get quite a few of them for Unity 2 missions, two for each individual mission and ten for the final one.

As for this thread I don't care much whether they are daily or not. Consequently I am neither against nor for the suggested change. This is just a set of ideas, some of them may be mutually exclusive, and it doesn't mean that all of them should be introduced.

Changes I would like to see
Yes, the Unity mission were unimaginative, but I love to play my level 40 character and have something to do for her, so I did like to do them every now and then.

Making it more rewarding without making fundamental changes to the game:
    • Do not give Unity rewards, but Until rewards with a few single silver champions rewards on top
    • Let the player pick one enemy type to go up against, so they can work towards loot drops of that enemy type and complete perks for that type.
    • More sophisticated difficulty scaling, let the player choose to go up against normal opponents for a group of five, for example

Making it more interesting without making fundamental changes to the game:
    • Do not use random map instances.
    • Involve Nemesis characters, not just the active Nemesis of the player themselves, but also those of online guild mates and folks on your friend list with a note whose Nemesis it is and an option to contact them.
    • Involve Open World missions.
    • Involve Alerts in the missions. (But don't make it all Alert, just one or two)
    • Involve difficult bosses such as Grond.
    • Heighten the mob density or difficulty of some areas of the map, such as Andrithal, and let the players do missions there. That would be a change to the game itself, but I think a relatively minor one.
    • Generally try to involve the more interesting and beautiful sceneries of the game for high level content.

Characters on Primus DB (and their Nemeses):
Marksmaid | Tenebris (Xalara) | Virtue | Dawnblaze (Sister Nightfall) | Rhinegold: Julie & Magdalena

Well I am completley agree with you and your suggestions are quite nice and I would love them to have them introduced in the game but here I have something to add about some of your suggestions:

"Do not give Unity rewards, but Until rewards with a few single silver champions rewards on top"
Yes, that could change the farming, it could increase the difficulty of getting silver recognition. Again it also reminds me of DCUO (God how much I loved that game!!!) because as raben suggested, the end-game missions, there, who can give you tokens, it only gaved 1 Token per single mission!
But, at the Silver Recognition drop, I (only if I were a dev) would change the drop only at UNITY 2 missions! So insted of giving 10 Silver Rcognition when you do the final UNITY 2 mission objective I would prefer 5 Silver Recognition as the Overwatch missions does!
But (again ik) I like how it is this way because it makes a lot easyer the farming for Heroic gear. Sure, your suggestion should apply only if the others would have been implemented in game but since they aren`t, I like how it is!

"More sophisticated difficulty scaling, let the player choose to go up against normal opponents for a group of five..."
Like the Battle Station from the PH! :3

"Involve difficult bosses such as Grond."
Involve difficult bosses (Legendary for example) yes but involving Grond... cleary NOPE! Is way too OP for only one person and if you don`t know where is he going is really hard to defeat him, esspecially with his mutant Regen!

"Generally try to involve the more interesting and beautiful sceneries of the game"
Definitely an YES! This game has a lot of beautiful places to see and is pitty that UNITY missions, in general, use boring and unattractive locations for the missions!

They actually aren't. I play CO for the costume editor and the freeform system. When I want a challenge, I know where to find it, but thanks for the suggestions...even if they are a bit illl-informed.

I'm not really sure how you thought you were going to prove that Silver Recog is worth getting by telling me to play another game.

Please define this "ill-informed"! You mean poorly informed? Just for you, I played DCUO for quite a long time (several months if not even half an year) to know almost 90% how that game works! I admit that I didn`t play Marvel for that long, thus is a nice game (not as awsome as DCUO or CO). So my suggestions aren`t "ill-informed"! You are quite rude for a girl that pretends is cute (your avatar says everything)!

First of all, if you are complaining that this game is too easy, stop playing it! Nobody forced you to play this game just for costumes/costume editor and FF!

Ill-informed in that those games are not more challenging. Watch Ichigo Mashimaro and my avatar will make a lot more sense to you.

You're right, nobody forced me to play the game... the next logical conclusion that you would draw from that, and the fact that I specifically mentioned the costume editor and the freeform power system is that I'm willingly playing it for those two reasons alone. Why then would you say I should stop playing due to the lack of challenge, when everything above makes it clear that I'm not playing CO for the expectation of a challenge? The things I'm playing for are here, so it doesn't make any sense that I would stop playing.

I will say this: You've completely lost the plot of the thread.

You haven't proven that at all. All content in this game can be played without ever acquiring a single Silver Recog token. Show me content that requires anything that is acquired with Silver Recogs, and you'll have proven it. Good luck with that: Remember that you can complete Gravitar when you're level 35.

Two guys agreeing with each other on the internet has never counted as proof of anything. The fact that you're throwing around terms like "lazy" when talking about video games sort of makes me think you're just angry at this point... and that you have defenitely lost the plot.

Well, I see that is pointless to continue to argue with you on this thread. What I can still say is that you really don`t see the importance of Silver Recognition, that`s why you don`t want them. By agreeing with raben doesn`t mean that I prove anything! It only means that I like the suggesstions to the end-game and I agree with what he said:

The fact that Silver Recognition help you getting r6 mods, Serum (if you don`t know, that serum can resurect you, that`s why is so dam important for Gravi alert or Nemcon), Pet-Device (Nephilim) and other cosumable (who offer you a boost in battle) can prove that Silver Recognition is woth getting! As she clearly stated she plays the game for other reasons, so for her silver recognition isn't important. It's not ignorance to not need a particular item from the game. I have to agree though, outside of the costume parts I have no "need" for recognition. I just play the missions for fun on the odd time or two. That doesn't mean that it's not important all around, just not important to my game play.

1: I'm tired of being told "go somewhere else" whenever I complain that the game's too easy. I like this game. But it's too easy. I'd rather see em fix this one than have to go to a different one. Hell, make elite worth using, and it'd be a start.

2: ... It's unbalanced to be able to do it more than once? I've got 9 40s. Between unity and unity 2 I could theoretically farm 9 pieces of heroic gear every what... 2 days? I think if I actually tried this, I could probably play unity exclusively if I wanted to, and not run out for a full day. That being said: what's it matter if I'm running my pestillence user, tk blader, heavy weapons user, cascade spammer, mage, Telepath, electric toon, etc... or just one of em repeatedly?

All opening this up would do is let me run it with my friends more, since I tend to have the most 40s out of everyone.

The only thing you mentioned that is in fact worth anything whatsoever is the Serum... but I've never actually needed one of those, since I have so many Self Rez pack items left over just from leveling a few alts... they really just shower you with them, and I haven't managed to die enough to use them all.

Pet Device? ...you think the pet device is useful? ...that's astonishing. Same goes for the other ones that give you a boost in battle; check out diminishing returns some time.

Did you really just say that I am an ignorant? AN ignorant ...are you purposely being ironic?

Fyi, running away and refusing to look at the next response also isn't a way to prove that you're right... except in your own imagination.

I do approve of having Unity missions available 24/7 but only having the tokens rewarded once per day.

Also, I don't think DCUO's end game is that complicated at all. It's quite different from CO's though.

    CO's end game is. .

Hey, you're level 40! Grats! Now go out there and keep doing what you're doing. Want to get stronger? That's cool! Do some dailies, next thing you know you're flippin' amazing! You can lift the world on your shoulders! You're awesome, and you should feel awesome!

    DCUO's end game is. .

Hey, welcome to level cap. Oh by the way, here's a cheese grinder. You're going to need to hold that to your face and scrub fora week or two if you want to even be worth a damn at this level. Have fun.

Oh hey, looks like your gear score is high enough for a slightly different cheese grinder. Have fun with that.

Oh you want to PvP? You've been working so hard for all that PvE gear, but you know, PvE stats will do nothing for you in PvP. But we have a whole different cheese grinder available for when you decide to start PvPing, and this one has sharper edges. Just dive right onto that when you're ready. You're bad and you should feel bad.

That's kind of my impression on the end game that both games deliver.

Yep, you are perfect right firefly! But at least in DCUO the PVP is better then in CO!

games not too easy. the minority of players who have uber toons, (myself included) should not be allowed to completely change the game experience for the majority.

I agree they should do this for elite mode: make blue and purple drops far more common on elite, buff the chances of rare stuff like darkspeed and therakiels blade, and make it give 4x regular resources and in q hour, 2x the q from mobs. stuff like that.

I don't have uber toons, and the game is too easy. Do you really call having one heal being uber? Because that's all it takes.
