I can only log in through Mozilla, it won't even work the login button on internet explorer.
similar to my problem though I was using firefox would not let me click on the login button had to switch to chrome which has my password remembered and logged in without need of me clicking the button. I do seem to be missing the normal graphics at the top as well on both browsers.
Also just trying the game again im in but have lost the 5 mins or so I managed to get on earlyer gear i sold is back and everything weird
I'm having this server DC issues as well, couldn't even browse the Z-store without getting booted back to the login screen.
At first I thought it was that character, as I haven't played with it for quite some time, so I rolled a new character and ran through the tutorial zone at a leisurely pace without any trouble.
As soon as I got back to MC I started getting kicked off the server again, took me far longer to keep logging back in then it did to go to the powerhouse and get my new powers :P
I'm going to try STO and Neverwinter and see if I'm getting this issue over there as well. Wish me luck!
Edit: It isn't just during zone transitions when I'm being disconnected - I'm also getting DC when I'm in the zone, either browsing the Z-store (as mentioned above) or just standing around.
The problem is in players side. No reason to announce something Cryptic has nothing to do with.

I would love to know how this is players side when multiple people are being disconnected randomly. It may not seem as wide spread and part of that reason is not many people post on these forums. Normally i have no problem but today i am being disconnected so much it is no longer funny. the only place i have not been dced from yet is the starting zone.....but not much to do there any way.
I certainly hope they are going to get this fixed as it is becoming well above ridiculous at this point. And i just upgraded to gold last night as well and have yet to even begin enjoying the game. Please do some thing to fix this.

I've made no mistakes with my bank..........and my rig i play on may not be top of the line but it is more then enough to handle CO...........and i have an always on high speed cable internet that connects perfectly online to jp servers over half way around the world so it is definitely not on my end if some thing is messed up it is server side not client side.

Maybe the whales singing is causing some problems on undersea cabels and distrupting the signals between PWs serverhives and the Cryptic broadcasting satellites.

What, you don't spend hours each day reading through all the forum posts! Problems with subscriptions have been an issue for a month now. On top of that we now have the DC and related. Not good with a major weekend approaching!

I was fine last night and this morning up until someone logged into MC, and over zone chat asked if "they had fixed the random disconnects that were happening as of late"?
and <<poof>>...server not respond for 6.4 secs roughly, and out to login...
Then when try to log back in once chose same character, load was indescribably slow...
SO, I kill the game process and try again...loads right in at normal rate, BUT once logged into Ren Center and see my alt? Server not responding for about 6.5 secs again and <<Bam>> back to login... repeated process with a couple different alts now =/
(and I'm silver so can only wonder, not really complain)

It would seem that your sense of humor has experienced a glitch, as well. Try turning it off and back on again.

Yep just saw some chat in zone about it happening, then a minuite later I was hit by it.
The character that got disconnected, is showing not played in five days, when it was just played today. Some data didn't get back to the server at all?

As in it stopped at about 5% and is stuck.

A week? really seems more like 3 maybe 4 days at a stretch
as to NEVER happened to me with CoH/V maybe not they just had a prolonged period of mass rubber banding meaning you could travel the length of atlas park only ti find your self sling shotted back to where you loaded in. Or lets not forget the sudden damage spike as the server realised your getting hit and applys all the damage in one go causing insta death and then giving you XP debt. Oh yea CoH was shineing example of server/network stability,

I keep disconnecting in the game and getting so much costume slots I didnt even pay, I just joined a supergroup then I GOT disconnected and got 4 costume slots. :eek:
If I have to make a blind guess here it seems like the characters position when coming out from alerts isn't updated properly ..ie. making the game kick you because you're somewhere else clientwise than serverwise ..
Going to your hideout helps .. well temporarily as does likely any other update of your position (switching zones teleporting with teammate teleports)
I'm sure alerts are affected when you get out they don't seem to update properly .. not sure about every other zone update.
I'm also not sure if its just coming from somewhere ending up in MC or if its coming from a specific zone (like alerts) going anywhere else is triggering it, but from what I've experienced and heard so far only MC seems to be affected, making it a good idea trying not to zone into MC
This by the way would also explain the sometimes long loading time you experience, the game might think you have a corrupt position (which you likely really do) and updates some of the map data once more to 'repair' things .. but as it seems to be a code bug or server sided issue you instantly get the same problem again

EDIT2 (for a better read up):
Millennium City instances (the main city) is currently bugged or corrupted. If you are there you will get disconnected. To avoid getting disconnects every few seconds do not zone into Millennium City, stay in Canada, Desert, Monster Island or any instanced zone you're currently in.
If you are already inside MC with your character or just coming out from an Alert going into MC, get to your Hideout as fast as possible and don't move around a lot. From there you can switch over to MC take a few steps and then switch back to your hideout. As long as you dont travel too far in MC or stay too long you should slowly, step by step get to the Jet or some other place to zone out of MC completely.

EDIT: ok it really seems to be an issue with MC instances .. so no worries going into alerts, but worries going back to MC if you are in MC get out slowly step by step, switching to Hideouts in between.
You can safely go to alerts and stuff from MI or other main instances as long as you stay away from MC
Very likely. I had disconnects either when using travel powers, or right after travelling. Lasted ingame for longer when toon was staying in place.

During a DC this morning, it seems everyone was kicked off and MC went down to one zone.

2) Something on the server-side has destabilized, either hardware or software.
3) Someone server-side is being a ****.

For the last 4 days Ive had super lag issues in MC, Canada, Lemuria and MI
Today in MI it crashed on me once and lost connection twice.
Is this because I posted my .... poor costumes in the costume thread? :rolleyes:
