Admins give responses to the relevant thread in both STO and NWO.

They are "looking into it" as of a few minutes ago.
    That's... sort of... promising?

Too bad it is another reminder that there are not enough staff to regularly check in with CO.

    Oh, you poor, ignorant Saps!
You have NO idea what's REALLY going on here!
It goes deeper than mere SERVERS. Much deeper.
    Look at your calenders.
    What weekend is it?
    Now think about it.
    You know the answer.
    You KNOW you do.
You just don't want to admit it.
Don't want to face the awful truth!
    They warned us.
For years they said they would.
Why haven't you called? They asked.
    Go outside! They said.
    And we ignored them.
    Fools.
    All of us FOOLS!
    They've finally done it!
OUR MOMS HAVE KILLED OUR VIDEO GAMES!!!!

'Wen considered the nature of time and understood that the universe is, instant by instant, recreated anew. Therefore, he understood, there is in truth no past, only a memory of the past. Blink your eyes, and the world you see next did not exist when you closed them. Therefore, he said, the only appropriate state of the mind is surprise. The only appropriate state of the heart is joy. The sky you see now, you have never seen before. The perfect moment is now. Be glad of it.' Terry Pratchet The Thief Of Time

I think the most apparent thing about this is that both other games have had dev responses.

    We're sitting here with nothing.

    QFT

We may have a dev, but he/she is not here on the weekend.

Then again if you look at the number of posts as indicative of game population, STO player population is close to a magnitude larger than CO.

Server population dropped a lot by the time it came back.
Went from 5 MC instances to just 3.

For those wondering why the Malvan event hasn't gotten to the second phase:

Our devs didn't get transferred to the other games. They are all exclusively trying to make sure Cryptic servers don't crash and burn.

When one part of a machine wears down it can cause damage to other parts of the machine. So even if one part of the machine gets replaced the damage to the rest of it has been done. We're probably witnessing a chain reaction...a metabolic chain reaction!

I'm hardly surprised at this point. I predict they will keep the servers down for an extra 6 hours for maintenance to fix this issue, ruining yet another saturday of gaming

Again I think it may be time to re-evaluate how the network and games are connected, clearly something isn't working right. A crash that disables all three games is a sign of some really inefficient systems. Plus if you add some new hardware perhaps you can stop blaming the lack of space for why we can't have permanent content.

After thinking about things I've read regarding PWE's business model, I feel confident when I theorize that they have no plans to spend any money improving the service of CO.

What I suspect is they will let the game languish and flounder for perhaps one more year before terminating it; Two if I'm being optimistic. That being said, get used to poor service all around until they finally yank out the rug and cut their loses.

After all, they don't actually care about their customers, just the profits that they see. To think otherwise is being wistful and unrealistic.

Try the Super News Network subforum. That's where TT's been posting.

This whole mess isn't really surprising. Not only is STO hosting an Open Beta Weekend for the new Romulan stuff, where even Silvers can access the test server (Galen tr'Hheinia here, commander of the RRW Emerald Fire), but also I understand Nevergonnaplayagain is running a Double Astral Diamond weekend.
