Alas. Another big gaming time for me is taken up with a server crash.

Poopies.

(sorry for the harsh language)

This is actually the first one that's happened when I haven't been sleeping.

If you'll pardon me, I have to go post on Facebook that my SG's weekly teaming is cancelled. :/

Looky here. What a shock. I'm surprised it went two nights in a row.

It's official, Cryptic- you may want to address your customers. An apology is in order, this is pathetic.

Yeah...this was a prime time for me. Server goes down on a Saturday at 11:20am PST? That's crazy.

The thing is that, after the last time, the "emergency maintenance" was to prevent this happening again. Unless I've misunderstood something fairly basic about that...

    See what happens I guess.

When the game crashed out, I checked my internet connection--no problem--and then the launcher could not reconnect. I figured it was a server crash.

I have a difficult time believe it's 'totally not Neverwinter' when this didn't happen until Neverwinter's open beta went live. Absolutely nothing else came along to effect this. While it may not be the Neverwinter game in and of itself, I think this problem is directly tied to Neverwinter's launch.

To think otherwise, without there being any other explanation offered is completely baffling to me.

    My concern is this:
CORRECTION: We've just verified that we have the tool we need for the deep fix. I very much apologize for the whiplash, but we now have what we need to prevent more outages of the kind we've recently had, and we're making that fix ASAP.

Maintenance will begin at 9AM PDT, a little under half an hour. There is no patch, but this kind of infrastructure change could (potentially) take up to 3 hours -- hopefully less.

One of our top priorities has been preventing more crash-outages. Again, I apologize for the change in plans, and thank you for your patience -- we're on the home stretch.

It could of course be unrelated; but it's going to start looking a bit silly if the emergency maintenance to fix the outages (which itself was downtime), didn't fix the outages.

I'm not sure about you guys but I am pretty sure that the cryptic studio staff of champions online have just basically stopped looking through the forums.. If they would they would not sit back like a bunch of *******s doing nothing at all considering the issues and as well not taking suggestions into consideration. If only there was some sort of confirmation that they actually are looking through the forums..

I am willing to bet 100 bucks that they are not and that people can just go amok and do whatever they feel like and writing whatever they want.. In other words they would probably not even do anything if everyone started breaking the rules at the forums and well.. Everywhere basically

These forums are moderated - I'm not sure how frequently, though.

Actual developers (artists, programmers, etc) aren't required to, and may be discouraged from participating in forum discussions for games they work on. I don't think [this] is a situation unique to Cryptic or CO at all.

All that said, put the O in CO for us please, network guys?

If they would let the intern wear his normal clothes instead of disguising him as a prisoner, he might get it done sooner.

The interesting thing is, with all the network issues as of late, maybe now Cryptic (and those people who seem to think Cryptric is infalliable) will start to acknowledge that all those Server Not Responding issues people seem to have beeen having since forever might, in fact, be at least partially on Cryptic's end...
