Very touching and beautiful memorial. Thanks to Kenpo and all who have supported and participated during this
sad time for us all. Despite the differences we have from time to time, it's good to know we all can be human beings and come together to honor a fallen brother.

    God bless.

One thing's for certain after the cosmic tribute hunt.

AoC had a lot of friends -- who played some very OP characters! :D

Heard it in Zone - I wondered what the big gathering in #5 was for.

Never saw AoC in-game, just a few posts on the free forums.

I'm sorry, I hope the relatives are coping well.

When you're larger than life, everything is larger than life, including your friends. :D

Slightly more seriously - I bet many of those OP characters are that way because they followed one or more of AoC's guides.

Well, I don't really play CO anymore, but I came out of retirement briefly to participate (am Zen Midnight in Sekimen's screenies). Was very nice.

I seemed to have been one step behind every event tonight. I only manage to pop into Mill City 5 after all of the excitement.

I have no proof that I was there unless you saw this guy hanging near Defender.

Again, I am truly sorry for your loss.
We all deeply cared for him as he was part of our community.
As you may have heard, we all got together for a memorial in Loren's name.
    Here is the video.

So sad to hear this. Unfortunately, I found out about Loren's issues too late to say my goodbyes, but I've logged on here for the first time in years, to say this. Caine was one of the nicest, most enthusiastic, friendliest people I've ever met in a gaming community. I hope you are in a better place now, and the pain is gone.

Haven't been in-game for a while but I still stalk these forums and am extremely sad to read this news. AOC was always a very prominent presence on these forums and he was always very helpful. I wish his wife the best. These forums are poorer by his absence.

Hey, I just wanted to be there to support you guys. Unfortunately, I didn't really get to know AngelofCaine well. Certainly not as well you guys did. Mostly, I've read his posts and knew from these that he was a good guy, but I really felt a need to support the community in it's time of loss.

Memorials like this are really more about the living and how we, as humans, cope with our losses. This pics and vids show just how very special Loren was to you all to have brought about a night such as last night.

Wish I had arrive to be part of the parade of object carriers. And from this point forward when ever I see a Hero walking down a street with an object above his head, I guess I'll be thinking of AoC. Can't promise whether I will laugh or cry but he will come to mind.

btw - I'm a big believer in the power of hugs, so I want you all to imaging you've been given a HUGE hug.

    Which OP did you mean?

    OP (2)= Optimum/Optimal
    OP (3)= Overpowered
    OP (4) = Offensive Passive

    OP (1)= Original Poster

    OP (4) = Offensive Passive

Let's break it down, whoa whoa whoa!~

"AoC had a lot of friends -- who played some very Original Poster characters! :D"

"AoC had a lot of friends -- who played some very Optimum characters! :D"

"AoC had a lot of friends -- who played some very Overpowered characters! :D"

"AoC had a lot of friends -- who played some very Offensive Passive characters! :D"

#2 and #3 work. Although OP is generally used for #3.

The memorial was good. I'm not at all surprised by the huge turnout, AoC was obviously a quite influential and nice person.

Sara, he truly was admired and liked by many in the game. He will be remembered for a long time. Trailturtle is asking the devs for a permanent reminder of Loren, as many of us would give real money for a tribute to him that would benefit a chosen cancer charity. Here's hoping they come up with something suitable. Meanwhile, my sincere condolences but hopefully the fact so many people loved and respected him offers some comfort during these times.

Im sure the poet will be an awesome char. Loren is sleeping right now but if he gets up ill have him look

    Hi Jennifer,

Not sure if you still check our forums, but in case you do, I hope you and yours are well.

Thank you for allowing me to use Loren's avatar likeness as a character.

I thought I would let you know that I finally got The Poet to max level.

I didn't want to just call my toon AngelOfCaine, I wanted to create a character that reflected my impression of Loren. The name 'The Poet' just seems right to me. And he is an awesome character. A very team support type hero. Protecting, shielding and healing is his main job.

Here is a picture of The Poet in atmospheric Vibora Bay in his English Lord outfit.

I've been gone from the game for nearly a year but I check the forums now and then hoping for better times. Today I just happened to be wondering where AngelofCaine was and stumbled on this thread. Now I know where he is and I am grieved. This is really heavy on me.

I am very sad for your loss. I didn't know about the cancer.

AoC was a voice I respected and we shared many of the same ideas.

Rest in peace, bro. May I get to see you again. Not now, but in the bye and bye.

This is something that I will need to consider. Thank you for this idea.

    Hey, TT...

What ever happened to this idea?

Any chance it, or something like it, will become a charitable CO item?
