PTS Playtest Monday

We'll be doing a PTS playtest on Monday of the revised Lemurian Invasion mission. I don't know exactly what time we'll be doing this, but it should be in the afternoon (Pacific time), after the build goes on PTS.

I'll be granting some special-edition action figures to people who help playtest. Details aren't locked in, but I'd expect the Retro Dr. Destroyer AF at the least. We'll make arrangements for replicating the AF on the Live servers as well, though that may happen at a different time.


The devs will be working on Saturday, so I may have more specifics then. Until then, stay heroic, folks!

    I planned on helping test this thing regardless of there being a reward. But this guarantees me being there. So would Iron Swan, Robobo, Drannic, and maybe Roxstar action figures.

    I hope i can attend, being in australia, it's difficult to make it for US time zones

    I'm mostly familiar with GMT if you're able to give which GMT + zone you are in, i'm in GMT+10

    I hope a Roxstar or Drannic AF would also be an option.

    Very nice to hear of such a thing. I've been waiting on the repeat of the June 2011 Dev AFs PTS Event since I had to be out of town on work assignment when it originally occurred. I did not expect the Retro D though, nice.

    BTW, hope I'm not being overly demandy but here's the original list:
    -Special Edition Action Figure: Akinos
    -Special Edition Action Figure: Ame
    -Special Edition Action Figure:Iron Swan
    -Special Edition Action Figure: Raven Akurei
    -Special Edition Action Figure: Tiyshen

    Ok, I get that Cryptic doesn't like to award certain AFs of people who are no longer around BUT if that's the case then please please please...just rename them to something else(Tiyshen -> CR-CAT....I dunno, just off the top of my head) and give them to us anyways. Some people, like me, have been trying to "Catch them all" and it's not been easy. So...please and thanks again for bringing something like this back. :biggrin:

    P.S. Falchoin bring up an interesting point, TT. Should we bring more "Toned down" toons for this test to better measure difficulty and such?

    And got the Dev AF's too. Yea, i'm easily fooled to do stuff when bribed with a gift.

    And will 'toned down toons' actually measure the difficulty? Like how many 'toned down toons' there exists? Or does 'toned down toon' mean, make a lvl 40 and slap green gear on it?

    GMT +8 as well, so that means tuesday for me. I'll be back at work

    sweet, but is there any chance you can turn the PTS back on cause at the moment it keeps crashing out with the Account Server Connection error as its trying to bring up the character page...

    Very nice. Any possibility to maybe get a Sapphire AF? I am kind of reluctant to buy the rest of the Champions line-up with her missing.^^

    Okay, my money didn't arrive, so everybody playtest the frak out of this for me - don't forget trying it with a lvl-35 AT!

    I've long forgotten this stuff, and have a bad cold and can't think so straight. So what is the time and date for this in Australian Eastern Daylight Saving?

    Re: Difficulty level, I'd like to have a little of everything for playtest purposes. If some people could go in with ATs or only-okay freeform builds, that would be really helpful.

    I got multiple themed builds, and I'm sure I could roll an AT for it if needed.

    I can transfer Dr Cerebellum over whose a lvl 40 AT. While i'm gold most of my characters are AT.

    My main is a lvl 40 Blade, so sure I can bring her on... if I am not at work at the time the testing is on of course.

    Skcark- western australia is GMT +8, East is +10(11 with Decidedly stupid time)

    server is GMT-8
    so Tuersday for us.

    YEAH! TUMERBOY! :biggrin: He may not be available in kewpie doll form, but at least you can get a screen cap of your hero standing next to his Westside likeness.

    Eastern is 3 hours later than Pacific.

    I'll do what I can to be around. I'll port my most recent 40 over when the system starts working. Additionally, I have a geared lvl 40 Devastator on PTS already.

    If it's 5:00 PM EST it will be 2:00 PM PST, so it's 3 hours difference.

    I believe that most computers allow you to set up your clock to display two clock. One clock for local time and a 2nd time zone. I have set mine to do this.

    This link might help. It's leads to a world clock. You can use Seattle, Washington for Pacific Time if that helps and just pick a major East Coast city. I used Trenton NJ because it's only a few miles from my home, but NY, NY would work just as well. So would Ottawa, Ontario or Washington DC or Orlando, Florida, just to name a few.

    Yeah Tumerboy's AF I missed when he handed them out. I got all of the Dev's besides Robobo and Tumer, but I know Robo only gave it out to certain winners of an event.

    Considering this whole thing is supposed to be a big event, shouldn't there be some sort of trailer for it? Admittedly there's probably not time to do anything elaborate but a 15 second teaser to toss out to the press and/or get players returning players interested would be good to showcase things. Especially with the work being put into improving the mission before release.

    They won't bother, this is a one time event and will likely last as long as the previous mega destroid event, not to mention a trailer to try and bring people back would imply updates would be regular enough to suit the playerbase

    RavenAkurei- Last seen July 12th. While the post is archived, everyone refers to the dev as RA, and google agrees with them.

    The Leviathan Invasion Alert will always be available to play in the queue window right under the Until Carrier Defense. Even when the event is over.

    Has anyone managed to log in to PTS yet?

    Been trying off and on the last few days, and all I get is "retrieving characters" to "can't find account server" kinda errors.

    Oh well, for a shot at AF's I lack (few as those are) I'm not giving up yet.

    Just tried to log into PTS to see if it was working. I still get the account server failure message that it can't connect. I do have characters on there and I haven't been able to log into there for the past few days

    It's 03:00AM Tuesday here (PTS 10:00AM Monday) and still down so I go to my bed again.
    I'll be back 3hs later. :(
