Want a new Action Figure, and want it for free? Starting tomorrow at 11 AM, all PTS-eligible players are invited to jump onto the Public Test Server and check out the most recent build. This is stuff that isn't available on the live servers yet, so there's plenty to explore, including the entire Nighthawk event.
For people who check out the new PTS build, we'll be giving away a Nighthawk-themed Action Figure. This won't be available immediately, but we'll work to get it to you all at a later date.
This special promo will last from 11 AM August 23 until 10:59 AM August 24 (all times Pacific). Every account that plays for at least an hour during this window and participates in the Nighthawk event will earn this Action Figure (on their Live account).

I see that some users are having an issue transferring a character to the PTS shard. Keep in mind that you can create a new character on the test shard, and use the Debugger NPC standing outside of the Powerhouse. This NPC will allow you to jump to multiple predetermined character levels, and grant gear to use at this level.
The event will last for 24 hours, so there should be more then enough time to create a character and jump into the action.
If time and my tasks allows, I will be jumping on to the test shard and will be queuing for the Nighthawk Event tomorrow. I look forward to hearing all the feedback of this event, either in game or in the PTS forums.

The inability to test in a fashion that comes even close to representing what I would see on live makes it difficult to justify spending an hour on PTS at this time.
I do thank you for this offer anyway though. It is nice to see some effort to engage the community, even if unaddressed bugs prevent participation.

Not sure if it is the same problem I have, but I think if you have a version of your character already in the pts, no matter if it has a number after, ex. my character Paco on live and there are Paco 1 Paco 2 on the PTS. I erased(in the PTS) all the versions of the character I wanted to copy and it worked nice.
I was in for well over an hour, had taken the nighthawk mission but hadn't completed it, is that going to count or did i need to have completed it?

Thus, you have no valid reason to whine about it being "unfair", and doing so just makes you both sound like spoiled brats, no offense... Want to have access, meet the requirements by being a Gold or LTS member. It's that straightforward. It's kind of like closed beta stuff, you know? (I'm assuming neither of you have ever applied to a closed beta test before but know of what it is at least)
If you all had said that you think they could get better testing results, then that's open to debate. (and not actually correct as testing in other games has shown, the most accurate closed beta tests are the ones where the testers have to write analytical reports & do surveys each session. Open Beta is for fine-tuning stuff and stress-testing) But y'all didn't. You whined like children.
But whatever, you're entitled to your opinion, even is it's BS. *shrug* If it makes you feel better I probably won't be able to attend because of work duty stuff.
It's actually lovely to see the PTS might be getting some developer attention again (although last time it feels like they ignore most of the pressing issues when they pushed On Alert to live, they delayed it and fixed some stuff but there were still several issues such as the PowerHouse bug which went live even with the warning from PTS users)

Apparently not, as the PTS Opt-In and Character Copy thread is still pointing to the wrong locations to get validated and copy your characters over. And the copy function still only brings up the first 6 characters on one's account.

I hope they return access to the other action figures that were in the game.
I know that I'm still missing a lot and the mission "there and bat again" doesn't give any action figures when you complete it anymore .... and I felt that I got ripped off on that one
But one a different note, I was able to get a best buy version of the game and was able to get the regular Grond action figure

On that note (I'll put this in PTS thread) Franklin Stone's Penthouse seems ok, once you work the cutscenes I think it'll look good, though...Hi-Pan's Dragon bag as a drop? Bug?
Heh, going out at a later date unfortunately, as I posted. I don't have a timeline, but the team does appreciate everyone going in there, so they're going to try to make it happen soon. No guarantees or timeline, though -- I'll keep everyone updated.

Your only missing one, I'm missing all of them ... they shouldn't have taken the Action Figures out of the loot, plain & simple ......

If its anything like the past times they have awarded AFs for test. You don't have to do anything other then log on and be there for an hour.
Also like past instances. Don't expect to see the reward for at least a few weeks.

So I couldn't test what I really want to... (I needed some gear transfer to PTS.)
Still staying in PTS for nice fancy Action Figure but "60min" is bit too long.
New mission trial and Power test are already done for me.
Want to go back Live.
I actually beat him once in the four times or so I managed to get into the lair.
It's tricky but relatively do-able if your group is smart about it.
I've noticed that the best weapon to use against Stone's gunship is the Fast Attack Jet's Anti-Aircraft missiles. I know, makes sense, being "anti-aircraft missile" powers and all, but trust me, these things put the hurt to him real fast.
Naturally, this draws his ire to the relatively weak-armored jet really fast, and he's able to pop you real quick with his laser drone net.
If you have two or three people in fast attack jets, at least one (maybe two) people in the heavy jets, and one person on a medivac, you can beat Stone no problem. The heavy jets keep his attention with their aggro-powers, the fast jets can go to work wiping out ground-based engineers and whittling away at Stone with their AA missiles, and the medivac can just buzz around, zapping people with medisteel beams and dropping healing drones when needed.
Bing bang boom, Stone'll go down, pretty as you please.

The post did say participate in, not complete, the mission and I participated..... so I'm hoping I get the Action figure....will be a little pissed if I don't because most of the people I usually team with are Silver members and they are not allowed on the PTS server...

Agreed. I was hoping for a bit more than just fighting through the mobs at the ground floor and that's it. When I went straight to the penthouse after that short fight at the ground floor "Alerts" was pretty much the first thing that went through my mind. And having some special goal to achieve on every floor as we fought our way through all the way to the top would have been awesome. Without something like that the mission kinda felt like it was missing something.
The jet part was pretty nice, though. But like some have already mentioned, it has a bit of a learning curve and its easy to fail with the current time limit, particularly if you don't have a full team. Between having to learn what each jet does and figuring out the lasers from the drones hurt--and a LOT--there's a lot of chances for failure (I didn't even understand there was a time limit till I failed it the first time around).
Also... looong queue times to get in
