Plant has a TP? Are you talking about earth flight or am I just blind? I'll choose plant anyway.

I would like a Gun & Sword powerset (We have dual swords and dual baldes already)

I mean, the use of a sword in one hand and a gun on the other, yeah i know it sounds weird, maybe adding a Sword and dual sword Block-moves too.

You could then call the AT "The duelist" or something like that.

I also recall there was a talk last year about a "Spine/pikes" powerset?

    Something like a "Death" powerset.

Just plain damage. Could come in a melee and ranged form, melee being "death touch" powers and ranged being probably some eye beams petrifying the opponent, could cater to a lot of characters and concepts

I would like a Magical artifacts powerset:
    Wands
    Dual Wands
    Scepter
    Orb/Crystal Ball
    Rings
    Books/ Cards

Cards and Orb could have a Block skill

Then you can add a "summon assistant" and make a showman/entertainer AT

(yeah i know, too much work cause of skins for each item)

I'd like to see a set that actually focused on pets from the get-go. It'd have an EB that somehow provided a special benefit when used on pets, and would have other in-powerset abilities that would provide special benefits to pets. It'd also have pets that had enhanced controls - things like CoX masterminds have...

I'm for 'added magic items' as a fill out for sorcery

Basically a wand and a staff EB

And some assorted wand and staff [maybe an orb] powers to make each type of sorcery almost it's own power set, like elemental is.

Here we are now going to the West Side
Weapons in hand as we go for a ride
Some may come and some may stay

Would you have these be entirely new powers or just version of various other powers, except cast from a wand/staff?

It would be cool if, perhaps, this was a more "magic trick*" style set, as opposed to the "real magic" kind of vibe the existing sorcery powers give...

*By "magic trick" I'm referring to stage magic/card tricks/lots of flash and fanfare kind of stuff...

    Water

    Plants

    Daggers

Gravity (even though Gravitar has proved we have the means to make it ourselves, a move gravitational flavor would be nice... or just a mini Gravity Well... yeah... mini Gravity Well maintain with crushing damage DoT)

Cosmic (sort of channeling of cosmic energy)

    Spines

I say stuff and I say things, sometimes together but only when I'm feeling adventurous.

Well a trickster set, something in the Tech tree would be nice. Some card based powers and some utility powers like the 'disappearing dust' but...

The fun part would be the Foxbat type powers, a big fish to slap people with, a summoned giant weight, a foam finger slap... that kind of thing

    * Supernatural - Shapeshifting: Includes Spines and Tentacles, which could also cover Plants. I just love the Spines/Plants set from CoX. ^^

    * Elemental - Water

    * Elemental - Sound

    * Elemental - Radiation: A set for Particle damage, with many Kirby Crackles. ^^

    * Martial Arts - Ninjutsu: Daggers, Shuriken and Stealth.

    * Martial Arts - Blunt Weapons: A power set for blade weapons that aren't really blades. Uses the NPCs' animations for club attacks. Deals Crushing damage.

    * Martial Arts - Fencing: A set for blade weapons, based on thrusting rather than slashing attacks. Deals Piercing damage.

    * Brick - Heavy Metal: A set revolving around Chain attacks and the ability to turn your skin into metal for defense.

    * Technology - Beam Weapons: Rayguns from Gadgeteering and Laser Swords from Power Armor, relocated and expanded upon.

A real powerset which is a testement to real comic book Mental Powers so an actual Telepathy powerset, unlike what we have. It would encompass, illusionary mastery, psychic healing, Mind Control, Psychic Blasts, Astral Projection, Astral Weaponry and most impressive of all it would have.... A PASSIVE:tongue:

    BUT

Since this will never happen I will go for...

    Water Powerset

I'm going to cheat slightly - I don't so much want a new powerset, as I want to see Single Blade diversified into two different styles of fighting; one for single-handed single-blade combat that would work well with shields (for knights and the like), and the other for two-handed samurai-style combat.

Right now there's too much of a hodgepodge going on in Single Blade for it to be fun imo; but it has the potential to be two different sets in one framework.

Check out my Champions Online webcomic in progress!

Do you mean duel blades by that last part?
And speaking of duel blades can they please inflict bleeding it makes no sense for them not to.
And also maybe rework a duel blades set to be as good DPS wise as the single blade is,and let us customize each weapon differently.

In the interest of solving all the PvP balance issues AND keeping PvP issues from nerfing PvE uses of pwoers, I think we need this; Lets get a new, shinny PvP power set.

Three EB, on ranged, one melee and one aoe melee

A couple of close in aoe powers, a singe, cone and an aoe

A couple of ranged powers, a long range, a cone and a blast

A heal, one heal other, one heals self

    One active defense

    One active offense

two passive, on defensive and one offensive

A lungs, and a few other utility powers

Make the mall literally named and generic with very bat-man tv show 'bam' 'Pow' FX

All PvP balancing with be with -these- powers alone.

    Grappling/Wrestling for Brick

I'd like to see this as well, but it simply wouldn't be feasible w/ how varied the enemy/character sizes and shapes are. How would you "grapple" a fixed object, like a turret or a crate you have to destroy? How would the tiniest character "wrestle" Teliosaur or one of the Harmon Security helicopters?

Even the bestial bite power kind of fudges the interaction by having you kinda just headbutt the enemy then display a teeth icon...

With lots of plant based pets and plants sprouting from the earth to hold bad guys and poisonous seeds pods and thorn missiles etc..

Every character, save for like 5-6, use the exact same skeleton. You can scale a model properly to hold a 2-handed gun properly (heck, slide arm length up and down while your character has an assault rifle out), what's stopping the arms of models from scaling to an average between the size of the two models and working out an animation solution from there? Many other games have done it, even wrestling games (some ridiculously bad even), where huge wrestlers can grab and submission opponents roughly twice their size, and vice versa.

In the case of things like turrets, or the few dogs/drones you face in the game, it could potentially just default to using a slam attack that has similar effects to the grapple. Same could probably apply to supervillains/other things that, due to overpoweredness, are ungrappleable.

Main concerns I've got with that is if the server and player client desynch. Then what happens to the models? They're fundamentally different entities on different sides of the server, so which would take priority?

But that's all just a huge discussion on how I think wrestling as a powerset could work mechanically. Now, for the one powerset I'd like to see the most in this game?

That'd be ooze. Turn your limbs into huge, stretchy tendrils made of slime, transforming them into things like hammers and shields to beat things up both up close and far away. If it were classified as a weapon, it could be possible to recolor and re-materialize the ooze to look like anything, ranging from water and mud to metallic jelly or roin'esh like sludge.
