Hey pulsewave i love your builds like i said in your Trailblazer thread. I was wondering if u could come up with a build for force, i know you've got your Shellhead and Miss Infinity those are both mixed with might, i was hopeing you could do an all force build? ive tried doing a few myself and they just ended up becoming your Shellhead and the other your Miss Infinity. No rush im still having fun with your Trailblazer.
I picture him as sort of a "Batman" meets "Western Kung Fu Shaolin Monk" with a dash of "Pragmatic Veteran Army Sergeant". So he's less hard-boiled gothic hero, more philisophical gentleman crimefighter who isn't naive about the world and thinks it's ok to use machine guns to get the job done. Or something like that. I'm still working on a "backstory" for this gun-toting martial artist who wears a modern trenchcoat (*not* a duster), a derby hat, and a bandana around his neck. Heh.
Serendipity provided me with the Purple Gang Tommy Gun costume drop. The costume works for *both* SMG and Assault Rifle, which is perfect as it has a fitting anachronism for the character. Also I use a nightstick for the blade powers (it doesn't match the "slicing" sound effects, but I think they're more Lomas' style than a katana, claymore, rapier, or other sword).
Your build is pre-RedAlert, but thanks to your detailed play-commentary in the character description I was able to derive what I think is suitable Primary/Secondary SS (Dex, Int, Ego - in that order) and Specializations (Dex, Avenger, Vindicator).
Anywho, I didn't mean to ramble on... I really wanted to thank you for the build. It works quite well and it's taught me a lot about power synergy. I'm still learning, but this was a big step forward.
I found this intresting ego blade build made by Cyrone85, its a ego blade build with PFF and so far its a very great DPS/dodge hybrid build. He did say it does require some dodge, cool down, and crit upgrades, but once those are added, its one heck of a build.
my favorite build of pulsewave's was his Ms. Infinity loved that one hope to see his On Alert version of that one
Thanks Pulsewave keep up the good work
I was thinking about an On Alert update to your Ms.Infinity would using defience and going Con and Str/Ego for 2nd be good for SS's of course i wouldnt know were to start on Specializations
Just a thought

Miss Infinity was a tough build to replicate. The mix of ranged and melee is always challenging, and the look and theme is always important. I've got some notes for a new build that I'll try when I get back to my home PC at the end of the week.
This is not the correct thread for build advice but seeing as the forums lifespan is measured in hours I will make a coupla suggestions. When asking for build advice use the new thread function.
1. See this thread (basic build advice) Basic build guide
2. Choose a power set and try to stick with it - don't just pick attacks from all over the place. Recommended power sets are... Unarmed, Dual Blades esp with defensive passives, Electricity and Infernal
3. Use the CO wiki to learn a little of the power sets and powers. http://www.champions-online-wiki.com/wiki/Main_Page
4. Leave the PVP stuff till you've learned a little more about the game, if any PVPers saw your thread they will grinning like sharks.
5. Use the following to find out about the Specialisation trees. Guide to the specialisation trees
And Condensed info on specialisations
6. Primary and secondary superstats, if you want mostly ranged attacks try Dex/Int/Ego in that order. If you want mostly melee attacks use Dex/Str/Int. (except for TK blades toons these are better with Dex/Ego/Int) These may not be the best choices but they won't suck too much.
I've just been returning to the game for the past month or so, and I've been loving these wonderful guides made by Pulsewave!
I really like the Trailblazer & Zeus ones.
I was wondering (hoping, really!), if there's any chance of some updated suggestions for these with all the new powers, and rules (3 superstats! Specializations!) that have come into effect since they were published?
If anyone has any more suggestions on them, that'd be great to hear.
Thanks in advance anyone!
And again, a great big THANK YOU to Pulsewave - I can really tell what labors of love these were!
Check the Builds and Roles section. People have been tweeking it for sometime now. It's almost a matter in preference at this point (Which is how all the builds should be).
I am thinking of returning but as I look through the forums I saw this old thread.
Is this information relevant anymore with all the new changes? I see the last post here is way back in February, I have a PA toon but not sure what the good builds are from Pulsewave.
Any help on what is different in the PA builds is appreciated, thanks!!

Ha, thanks Angel. I just posted two updates. Wanted to get some builds current before I get into Skyrim.

I made a toon following this build and it's *really* cool/fun to play. His name is Lomas Manchester:
