I can't think of anything else that would take 7 hours to complete other than uploading/transfering/connecting CO's (and) STO's character database(s) to link to PWE's servers...

Release Notes have been posted gang.

As many of you have already surmised, the reason for the extended maintenance is the CP to Zen Conversion which will be taking place tomorrow. We wanted to make sure that we gave ourselves plenty of time to make certain this conversion is as painless as possible for all of you.

Pretty much sounds like this... we shall see tomorrow. If this is the case though, huzzah!! a set I wont buy so I can spend my stipend on buying something else =p. I am really not a fan of that armor set hehe.

Why it's 7 hours?

1) Every player needs to have their Q bids removed and refunded.
2) Every player needs to get 25% more CP as it gets turned into Zen.
3) All the C-Store/Zen prices need to go up by 25%.
4) Every player needs to make sure their Stipend goes up to 500 Zen.

Basically, there's a lot of database work going on behind the scenes.

I can come up with 2 ideas...

1) It's something that allows us to freely remove the rank 9 Catalyst we received for the 900 day Vet Reward...

2) A rank 9 Catalyst was going to be a 1000 day Vet Reward until they noticed that we think rank 9 is meh. They changed their minds and put "REMOVED" next to it in big caps so it would stand out and no one would miss it and accidently tell us we're getting one. Then Stormshade did a copy/paste without reading it...

I'm going with option two...

If that's true, PWE is only a monocle and a while lap-cat away from being a Bond villain.

Glow tights? Really? This could be very cool, but if the last few costume sets are any indication.. I'm expecting something disappointingly lackluster and/or glitched.

16k cap.. this should be innate to gold players in general. This isn't a reward.

Where are our free character slots, free retcons, costume slots.. why are we still paying full price for retcons and slightly discounted costume changes? *Those* would be rewards.

Please don't disappoint us Cryptic, we've been here 1000 days waiting for this.

They are the old alerts with new bosses.
If they were new alerts, the new maps had be REMOVED :biggrin:

(Gratz to the people who have forget this word before copy/paste the patch notes).
We can now see that we don't deserves it, after 1000 days.

Come back to alerts, it's surely too much work to create new instanced maps in 3 months, even if they are copy/paste of the game maps, as the old alerts already are.
Neverwinter must be release soon.

No more retcon in veteran's rewards it seems. Not enough money from the store, not enough things the subcribers must buy on top of subscriptions, isn't it ? It would be ok until the 28 august.

Yay .. new alerts .. can't tell how "exited" i am. Hopefully they are all overlong, take maybe
1 hour to comlplete .. have massive Mobs with Knockback .. Bosses with 80k damage powers,
and give you massive 1c and a Rank 2 mod as reward :eek:

You know I have ben playing mmorpg's 4 a long time know and I have seen a lot of them change owners.most of them have shut down because thay relly messed thim up.butt I relly think that thes one well make it because the old owner and the new one know whut ther dowing (MOST) of the time. I relly don't think the server well be offline for the hole 7 hrs its just like thay sed.ther giveing ther selves anuf time incase sumething gose rong...

This is one of the best vet rewards Ive seen to date (depending on the quality of the TP and Costume set I suppose).

I really don't understand the complaints. Were people hoping for a case of Cristal, an extra large double pepperoni with onions, and a Scarlett Johansson look alike with low self esteem/standards ?

C'mon, its MOAR TIGHTS !!! and powers, and stuff.

As we have seen more than often enough lately, they are prone to invoke Murphy's Law. EVERYTHING can go wrong! They do what they do, but don't bother making sure they are doing it right. :rolleyes:

I didn't receive a rank 9 catalyst - I just got a Veteran's Core of Might. Did I miss something?
