Currently there are several costumes that either will outright not be an option for both sexes,
or they will have a massive difference when it comes to details on the costume piece.
For example, there's a chestpiece from The New Shadows "Fuffy shirt" where the male shirt has
details in form of buttons and other details, while the female version looks completely different with no detail at all.
This greatly changes and dictates the way we have options to create costumes and in some cases if we want
certain pieces for our looks, we're locked to a certain sex. Please fix this.
The "New Shadows Puffy Shirt" is a good example, there are also the Irradiate jacket variations which are currently male only.
(I realize this is because only male NPCs wear them, but some more tattered stuff for females would be good for the savages among us)
EDIT: While not strictly the topic at hand, making all tights patterns available on beast legs would be very nice and presumably very easy, since the mapping is identical to human legs.

Reworked NPC's on top tho, I wonder why they designed such but not bothered to design it for females when they made it a costume drop with it. Cryptic does Cryptic things, as always. I only say, character bound costume attempt at the winter charity. And many more and other examples, like questionable drop chances of Alert bosses or Supervillains in general and asking for 975 Silver Recognition if you are unlucky enough.
I guess IF the separated for male and female in this, they make us farm it again, just like several sets like Bone Armor, Feathered Armor, etc. to unlock new texture options, because their "Spaghetti Code" somehow makes it unable or unwilling to update existing peaces your account unlocked.
I see sometimes when the separation can be not necessary. But in some case boys and girls just can't rock the same.
In most games male and female have different versions of the same costumes. Example is if we were to get a Japanese Fuku uniform the costumes will obviously be different for male and female.
In fact I wish they did the sex separation more often like the retro talisman skirt. Many times bulk male armors don't fit nicely on the female toons either. I believe same sex costumes are done predominantly because it saves time.
My opinion might be based biasly because I wish CO would spend more time making some new ball gowns, skirts and female tops. That doesn't mean the men shouldn't be able to get some high quality clothing. If I was a dev I would make more bikini armors to reduce female clipping.
Take a look at the Steel Arachnid for male and female, 2 completely different looks.
The male version actually looks pretty good while the female version looks utterly broken.

Here are some examples of costumes that is clearly broken, doesn't exist at all or majorly distorted.
Steel Arachnid chestpiece - Female - distorted and less details.

And these are just some costumes that are either missing, distorted or outright broken,
not working equally for both sexes.
