I got the unable message then clicked the button again and it said redeemed or successful or whatever. I checked the bonus tab as I assumed that's where it would be.
Guess I should tell my roommate to check his email - he hasn't played in a while. None for me, of course... <wry grin> (why is there no "wry grin" emoticon? It's all happy or winky, or there's no smile at all...)

Thank you for your report about the anniversary code. We do apologize for any problems you may be having with redeeming the code. Unfortunately, there are some known problems with the Champions Online anniversary codes being successfully redeemed to accounts. We're currently looking into the issue, and will keep affected users updated on any changes that will need to be made. If you have any further questions, please let us know.
:O I looked everywhere in all of my email folders, and never found any code to redeem. Is this something that is exclusive to arc folks? Or what? I haven't used arc to login at all. But I suppose I can try if that will spit me out a code.

I haven't been in game since July 27th, got the email on the 31st of August and redeemed it. That's all the proof I got. It doesn't really matter if people who are currently playing don't get it for not being inactive like a few of us, it's really nothing you can't already get in game easily anyways.

Not really. Your analogy is more like if only random players could get the free daily as part of the Anniv event.
I think it's a little unfair that we don't all get the code, a player like me, who has been playing CO since almost launch, I'd think is only fair for me to get a reward for being loyal to the game, all the time and money i've spent on it, etc.

I agree as well, though I see influx of new players everyday, not a huge influx but atleast we still get them.
Most of the top end regulars aren't around atm, because so many other, high end titles have released lately, or released expansions. Getting tough to manage Kiga/Ape/Dino/ETC quite often because of it.
I got the email for my freebie account, probably because I haven't logged into it since CO got rid of subs. It seems like they are only sending it to players who haven't played in a long time. I used it and it worked perfectly.
After I reemed the code, the reward appeared on my Bonus Tab. Next I, claimed it from the Bonus Tab, and a reward box was placed in in my character's inventory.

Chances are though, that the majority of accounts that these random emails are sent to are bound to be to players that haven't played in a long time because there will be far more accounts made by people who don't play anymore than currently played accounts.
Just an update, the code finally took. Even though it tells you to expect an in-game email, the items actually come via the bonus tab of the C store, and must be claimed by a sub lvl 40 alt, since the free bound leveling gear is useless to a ranked character.

I don't think it's leveling gear. It appears to be level 40 Courageous gear.
It had lower stats than the old nemesis legacy leveling gear that's account bound. Mind you, I already thrw mine away now, my "Fearless gear", but yeah. it's stats were unimpressive to say the least.

I don't think it's leveling gear. It appears to be level 40 Courageous gear.
