Please make the costumes of blocked players on a player's block list appear generic with no auras to the blocker. Or make a separate block list just for costumes.
Edit: Thought this was a simple no-brainer so I just tossed it up with the rest of my random suggestions. I just changed it to be more polite & clearer.

If it's actually those things, you can petition it and make it so no-one has to look at it. If it's just something you personally find hideous, deal with it.
Dude, I meant a personal block list, like an "ignore." Not a public shaming system. Honestly, it seems kinda odd that people on player's block list don't automatically get generic'd.

^This. It seems odd that it's not part of the ignore/block mechanism. If the trolls know people can just ignore them, then they'll stop doing it as much.

That takes time and active moderators, and a lot of times it's subjective. Plus I'd rather just block a troll than try to convince a mod that a toon based on an obscure racist meme is objectionable.

Just simply ignore them. What's so difficult? I'm assuming it just has to do with a costume created in a way that you find unappealing and not intentional harassment?
If it bothers you so much that you feel the need to exit the game, you need to be a little more tolerant.

Yyyyeah, something like this is just...unnecessary. For multiple reasons. Just don't have them in your camera's line of vision. I would rather not see the Devs' effort put into something like this. And even if a player was put on ignore, you have to be able to see them. Or else, you'd be running into invisible walls like...all the time, and you'd think it was a bug.
Not sure if I posted earlier(actually think I did) but again, could just make it so ignored people have no collision with those who have them on ignore. Just, remove them from the game as far as the person who's using the ignore is concerned. The ignored person still exists but he'd find he cannot collide with the person ignoring him. Actually just also make it so the troll cannot see the person ignoring him to.
That's making it even more complex, and thus more unlikely to happen than it already was.
It's really a non-issue when you can just ignore them the old fashioned way, as someone already suggested earlier.
If you think their costume is inappropriate and offensive report them. Making them invisible to you isn't going to solve the problem. Either get over it or take some action, don't just bury your head in the sand.
And here I thought the OP just wanted the ability to make other characters appear naked.
I see what you did there... ^_^

I remember waiting for a chicken during the Halloween event, and thinking "Jeebuz, all these people look like freaks!" I think there were two people that looked vaguely like superheroes. Everyone else looked like expired muppets that escaped from a dumpster... good times.
Anyway... gotta side with the nay-sayers here. Let the Bumburgers of the world run free!
You know for certain people who would use this extensively ( you know, like someone who has a ton of people on ignore ) this would make it seem like the world is haunted. Just imagine you're standing in rencen and nearby chairs just explode. You're out fighting some npcs and nearby an entire group just drops dead. You go to Kiga and the dogs just run to some random spot and fall asleep and then one wakes up, walks across the road and gets torn to shreds by nothing and nobody. It would be terrifying!
Also what happens if someone picks up a garbage can nearby. Does it disappear or does it just float away? Either outcome is 2 spoopy 4 me.
And here I thought the OP just wanted the ability to make other characters appear naked.
This is the first place my mind went, too.
Seriously though OP, this kind of thing really wouldn't be helpful to the game. What kind of costumes are bothering you so much that you think they need to be blocked, anyway?
(Hopefully) Useful CO Resources: HeroCreator (character planner), Cosmic Timers/Alert Checklist, Blood Moon Map, Anniversary Cat Map, and more (eventually, anyway).

It would be good to know this so we can have some actual context to the OPs suggestion.

This issue reminds me of a problem with a boyfriend of mine. Somehow he got it in his head to keep repeating a question pertaining to something I thought was personal. I kept telling him it was personal, and to stop repeating that question. He kept it up for three days straight, then left the game. He was and still is on my friends list. I realise I could have removed him from my friends list and put him on ignore, but I wanted him to realise that I really didn't like personal questions addressed to me repeatedly and apologise. He hasn't apologised yet. He's pretty much quit playing Champions. I don't know whether it's due to me not chatting to him in any way or what. I guess what I'm saying is that if there's something you honestly feel that you don't need in your life, You can ignore that someone providing it and tell them frankly and honestly with little hyperbole how you feel and why. If you are honest, and they are feeling sympathetic, they might change in some way to be more palatable.
Making special code just for you to ignore people that is likely to be misused in some way is involving way too many other people for a personal preference in my opinion.
Any suggestion can be misused by anyone, even the player who suggests it. I get what the OP means but I personally don't like the way it's put forward. On the other hand though, it'll be a nice touch to have this but may/may not happen. That's all.

Assuming you just don't want to see them at all, why not either report them or move your camera and character such that you don't see them?

That said, if the player is doing anything that violates the ToS, EULA, etc, then be sure to report them.
