energy-projector equivalent to Taser Arrow, and other variants

I'm running over ideas for things to do with this slightly-electric slime/ooze-theme character I've got going, and... I'm starting to consider using Taser Arrow, but for a character like this (of which I'm sure more exist, primarily electricity-users of course), technology of any sort doesn't really fit the bill. I might use Taser Arrow anyway 'cause I've got no better option, but it'd be nice to have one.

Would it be possible for someone to take Taser Arrow, make a copy of it, and change that copy from being a bow-n'-arrow-style power to a more basic-looking electric attack with the same capability? I'm just asking for an alternative style of the same power that'd fit better thematically. I know, there's "Electrocute", but it only reaches 50 feet, and Taser Arrow does take longer to use, anyway. Also, anything that'd seem overpowered about this would mean Taser Arrow itself is overpowered, yet no one says anything about it.

Also, while on this subject, I'd suggest looking at making thematic variants of other things as well, such as perhaps Quicksand. That hopefully can't be too hard to make look like toxic waste or magma, accompanied with a bit of glowing. The magma version would of course go with "Fire". The toxic waste..... well... it can still sorta fit in with "Infernal Supernatural", or at least for now, 'til a better spot is found for it, like how laser swords split off from Power Armor.

Please, at least consider it...

...

If anyone else comes up with variant ideas of their own, feel free to post them.

Taser Arrow is just an example of how random and lacking proper balance the various paralyze-inflicting powers in the game are. I mean, Electricity already has its own single target paralyze, but it (like most other paralyze abilities) has a cooldown. And don't even get me started on how AoE paralyze powers exist with somewhat similar cooldowns, along with powers like Bolas that paralyzes regardless of charge time invested.
(Hopefully) Useful CO Resources: HeroCreator (character planner), Cosmic Timers/Alert Checklist, Blood Moon Map, Anniversary Cat Map, and more (eventually, anyway).

It's a little odd that despite how effective those paralyzes are, either in having no cooldown or being full-strength even on a tap, they're rarely used. Wouldn't they be really good to have for things like Qwyjibo's fire hearts?
