It's very cool that more things (Heroic Gear) are being added to the Acclaim store, however it would be very nice if a conversion factor could be added as well.
Since a person could level through the Hero Games, maybe as you lvl you can gain access to different conversions. For example, if you started leveling through the Hero Games at lvl 6, you would be able to convert your acclaim into MCPD recognition. When you hit lvl 15, you will be able to convert your acclaim into MCPD and Primus recognition. When you hit lvl 30, you will be able to convert your acclaim into MCPD, Primus, and UNTIL recognition. When you hit lvl 40, you will be able to convert your acclaim into MCPD, Primus, UNTIL, Silver Champions and Gold Champions Recognition.
As for the conversion rate, I think it should be the same for all the recognitions, except for the Gold Champions Recognition.
For each 500 Acclaim, a person would be able to exchange it for 1 MCPD - Silver Champions recognition depending on their lvl and on what they wanted.
For each 1000 Acclaim, a person would be able to exchange it for 1 Gold Champions recognition at lvl 40 if they wanted to.
This would make another path of gameplay that 1. Spans across 35 out of our currently available 40 lvls. 2. Has Both solo and Team-oriented Games. 3. Can be considered endgame gameplay.
Most of the time the difference between normal and elite is nothing. The rest of the time, it's when you take your dps monster toon to burn through all the extra HP sackness that is the enemies. So, the extra 5 is for putting up with the tedium?
Have they fixed the PvP queue issue yet? I don't remember seeing it, but there are a boat-load of notes and I might have missed it. Doing things for PvP is nice, but if you can't stay on the map, is bordering on pointless.
1. Please give us Daily PVP missions that reward Questionite.
2. Please give us an exchange rate between Acclaim and Recognition so that PVP has access to all "On Alert" PVE rewards.
SUGGESTION: Player Notification before This Update
Please, please give players at least a few days of notice before this next update goes Live. The notice should be on the launcher and/or in-game Calendar.
Because there will be significant changes in currencies, players should be offered time to make choices to spend, convert, or save currencies before the update.
Most players do not read the forums, and fewer still get involved in the PTS. They don't know the far-reaching changes coming.
Farming SCR is not the same thing as farming Heroic gear. I'm sure plenty of people will farm SCR for the costume pieces which are newly available this way. But why would you farm Heroic gear, specifically, harder after the change? "4x as much effort for the same thing, that'll totally make me get it more" - said nobody ever.
Cause Im still planning to use Heroic Gear of course, silly billy ^_^
This is actually kinda disheartening. I'm not sure I appreciate this turn as a mostly solo player. What else should I expect right? I should find myself a single player game instead of an MMO.
Seems CO has entered CoH's screw the solo player death spiral.
Not really. Solo players will still have plenty of opportunity to get SCR by themselves. I mean, what's gonna take any sort of serious grouping effort? Some rampages, and the new lair ( for a short while before everyone can do it easily ). Otherwise the biggest teaming effort you'll have to do is clicking a que button.
If just being in a group with other players at all bothers you, just do what I do: pretend they're NPCs.
As a solo player who hates putting any effort into grouping up, I don't see things changing much for me.
Sure, but only if they buff up the elite mode buff that NPCs get so it actually makes a difference. After all, when people refuse to run APs on anything lower than Elite, we want it to mean something right?

^ Would be nice but not gonna happen .
Buffing everything to stupid high levels and nerfing everything to piss poor levels yields the same results, but not the same community reactions.

My guess is that the patch will go live whether it's ready or not this Thursday.

Oh my. -that- would be bad, as a new wave of updates literally just came out.

Well there's a new lockbox, and the timewarp lockbox event usually only runs a week. It wouldn't be the first time Cryptic has had a small testing window before pushing out a broken patch.

Oh goody, we're speculating! I'm speculating that after the next patch some of the game's biggest crybabies will finally make good on their promises of leaving the game forever and everyone else will be super happy about it and the game will be improved and more successful because of it!

There's quite bit of history to back up my 'speculation'.
I'm not sure how a game, that already has small playerbase, can become more successful by those offering useful feedback as opposed to playing the part of a yes man quitting.

Speculating on when the patch will go live is not useful feedback.
Also, here's a fresh concept: people who disagree with you are also giving useful feedback.

Whoever you are, be that person one hundred percent. Don't compromise on your identity.
My super cool CC build and how to use it.
