Thank you for getting Canadian Flag Flight up in time for Canada Day

I know you guys usually update on Thursday but you updated today and that lets us Canadians use our day off to grind for the brand new Canadian Flag Flight in time for our national holiday. I also really like the look of the new power. This is very neighborly of you :)

Not to be a bubble burster, but I doubt the update was chosen for today because to have it in time for Canada Day. Most likely someone over there is saying not to have an update the day before a long holiday, so they moved it to Wednesday. It just happened to coincide with Canada Day in the end.

It's a Force Bubble Made in Canada, so you know it's tough. And also polite. :)

I have a hard time believing that they go trough the trouble of making a Canadian flag flight and then put it up on Canada by coincidence. I think these guys over at Champions are on the ball these days.

I'm curious to see how they'll do a flag with vertical bars and a central symbol.

Not to be a bubble burster,

Devs should post more often. The effects are extremely gratifying, on many levels.

Well seeing as I almost never use super speed I'm not at all bothered by not having it.

It just has to be representative of the flag, I think. Vertical bars could just be made horizontal, as long as you represent all other parts of the flag, it gives it enough recognition. The problem of the blue box and stars on the American flag was solved by putting spinning stars coming out over a blue gradient that fade into the stripes. Doesn't quite look like the flag, but it's pretty instantly recognizable to what it's supposed to be.

The big problem I would think is flags with diagonal stripes and such, unless they can just get an image of the flag to stretch out behind the player. If that's how the trailing graphics are generated, they could do just about any flag, but I think it might start looking silly when you think of it as something that someone would have in comics. For instance, I can't really picture the Peruvian flag trailing behind some dude all static like that. They'd end up looking like those planes that advertize pizza joints and stuff over the beach. :D

    Rotate it 90 degrees perhaps?

I envision three stripes, two red and a center white, with maple leaves emanating from the mantle area similar to how they did the original Flag Flight. It should look... interesting.

Yup, that's exactly what it is.

Thanks for the new powers and grind to get them and the sidekicks. I haven't run red winter in years,
three in a row on each character was a mind melter. One a day on each character is nice.

They could easily turn that into a Japanese version :D

So floating red suns instead of maple leaves?

It starts to get weird when you use the symbols like that. The Canadian flag, it kinda makes sense because it's almost like a maple leaf aura thingy, but there's only one on the flag. Japanese flag would just be a white trail with a bunch of dots behind it? That doesn't have the first-read recognition to it, I don't think.

On the other hand some flags are really easy because they're just colors, France for example, although it's easier with flag flight rather then flag speed as the flag can be represented as top to bottom rather then side to side.

Person standing in front of hero: "Nice Irish flag!"
Person standing behind hero: "What? That's an Ivory Coast flag!"
Choose your enemies carefully, because they will define you / Make them interesting, because in some ways they will mind you
They're not there in the beginning, but when your story ends / Gonna last with you longer than your friends

Well that's just silly, the Irish guy would obviously look like a leprechaun.
