Void Horror not attacking

I started a new darkness freeform character yesterday and took void horror at level 11. Sometimes he would decide to rush at enemies and then do nothing when he got there. Since then each level he seems to do nothing more and more often. I have tried calling him back and sending him back in but he just seems to have become a follower of Gandhi over here.
I don't duel anymore since the level 6 hit my level 8 for 15k in one shot instantly

    This is a bug with all pets sadly... You can try to force him to attack by using the command or set him to assist or see if you can get him attacked but sometimes you just need to resummon.

    Unfortunately I have tried pulling him off and sending him back in hitting assist all of the above and re-summoning doesn't seem to jog him when he gets that way either. Now I got the 3 uncontrollable ones and they seem to suffer from bouts of pacifism as well. Pets did not used to have this issue iirc.

    It's an old bug with controllable pets and has made me sworn off from ever bothering with them again, excluding Heal Drones since their auto healing don't seem to have hiccups.

    Uncontrollable pets work somewhat fine; they just require you to attack your target first to know who to attack.

    Yeah, this has plagued a few of my characters for years now. Considering the amount of powers that either aren't working as intended, if at all, i really wonder how much longer cryptic can keep this up for.

    lol... I have the feeling that this is the very calculation they tend to make honestly.
