Powerup modes

Can we have something like our characters can use to power up themselves or enhance themselves that you create yourself and you have to do a special quest chain to activate it and certain requirements must be met before it can be activated and theres a limit on how long it can be used just a thought what do you guys think?

Power up for what?

What do you mean by "power up"?

The Master of the Mind power is something like that already, by the way.

I'm thinking they mean an elite power that provides a specific, custom effect that you have to earn by a new bit of content.

I think I have no idea what you're trying to say. You might want to work on rephrasing.

In any case, there are plenty of ways you can 'quest' to powerup -- for example, the Justice gear grind.

There sort of is, but it's fluff over crunch for all of it.

During the Monster Island Crisis, you get transformed into a giant to fight a giant ape, I recall.
Playerside, all it actually means is that you are on a shrunken down version of the map temporarily, but it's fun.

Also, during some of the Gadroon infiltrator missions in Millenium City, you get a cool item that has a holographic thing in front of your eyes. Cosmetic, and it might disappear from your inventory when you're not looking, but it looks cool.

While it would be kinda cool to have..I honestly can't see any real...umm...need to make players even stronger, the game already has virtually no challenge across 99% of its content, and the remaining 1% can be dealt with by a decient tank and decient healer [yay fire and ice >.>]

From what i understand, s/he is asking for a high level, self-buff device that can be crafted/earned by players that gives a temporary boost to everything... if it's for thematic reasons, active defense / offense powers give me that feeling of "dangerous last minute super mode" to me :biggrin:

We already have this stuff. Almost every power set has a booster buff and there are several devices that boost effects.
