So that happened.

It was the last slice of bread in the bag. I took it out and buttered it. When I started eating it it tasted... weird. Not bad... just kind of... fruity? I'm wondering if I may have grabbed a piece of moldy bread and just slapped butter on it without really looking at it. I finished the entire piece.

    Unless you have a severe allergy to bread mold I wouldn't worry. If you were eating horribly moldy and bad bread, I'm sure you'd spit out the first chunk the moment it enters your mouth.

    Although that did lead into what was probably my favorite line in the entire movie trilogy - "Looks like meat's back on the menu, boys!"

    Unless you started tripping (in which case the bread was laced with ergot), I wouldn't sweat the mold - assuming the entire slice wasn't green and hairy and you don't have a strong penicillin allergy, there aren't enough toxins in barely-molded bread to cause any serious issues.

    As long as the mold isn't white or black, just green. You're fine.
    Because you needs to eat yer greens!!!
    Be thankfull it wasn't something like this:
    Free-gift-with-every-loaf-!.jpg
    And i only eat ryebread, It's so much better, healthier, stays mold free longer and causes epic farts.
    Warm, just out of the oven ryebread with real butter on it is what were bread from...

    It was whole wheat bread. I don't eat teh fluffy white bread u3u
