If you're going for pure functionality and want a means of escaping combat easily, go with teleport.
If you get in trouble, you can teleport straight up and out and keep jumping until you shed agro and it even works amazingly well indoors as well when you're on your own soloing, teleport and keep moving back until you drop agro and then re-engage the group at your leisure.
If you're soloing, athletics/acrobatics and teleport are probably your best bet.If not soloing, then athletics/acrobatics and any flight tp can help you and your team. It sure beats running around and annoy your team.

But anyways functionality wise, shouldn't tunneling also technically remove aggro from you?
Oh and one more thing- is it possible to attack in the middle of bat flight like you can with scarab flight?
