[NEWS] Vibora Police Officer Killed

(VP) Police today announced the death of Vibora Bay police officer Francis Levesque, who was stationed on the perimeter of a hostage situation in a Vibora Bay mall, where a force of VIPER operatives, under the command of the notorious operative Draconis, were holding shoppers hostage. Officer Levesque's death did not come, however, at the hands of VIPER. Rather, a team of heroes, summoned to the scene of the hostage incident, opened fire on Levesque's car and blew it up, killing Officer Levesque and wounding his partner.

The heroes on scene were identified as Corpse Ravager, Bodybag, Obituary, Reaver of Darkness, and Mister Murder. It is not known which of the five heroes were responsible, as all had ash-grey skin, wore dark clothing, and emanated auras of darkness.

Levesque, 62, was a thirty year veteran. He is survived by a wife, three children, and his dog Lucifer. Levesque was six days from retirement at the time of his death. He had just bought a boat.

"I don't know where heroes are coming to from these days!" Draconis was reported as saying. "These days I'm nicer than most of these bastards, and I'm the scummiest operative in VIPER! They threatened to skull-(bleep) my soul. Can anyone picture Defender or the All-American threatening to skull-(bleep) someone? I thought his penetration references were bad. And how can you skull-(bleep) a soul? (bleep) is a physical act, but souls are insubstantial. Stupid millennials!"

Levesque's funeral is to be held Tuesday at the High Apostolic Church.

Gotta build those concentration stacks somehow. I don't recall ever seeing enough damage to actually defeat an officer, though (there's also a police car near the initial Mechanon mission that you can blow up for similar effects, plus of course you can actually shoot civilians there...).

So, don't release the information about Levesque withheld evidence along with VB DAs just to get convictions even if they were innocent if it meant closing a case, getting a win or just saving themselves time, until after the funeral?

Let this be a lesson to super villains to not rob stuff in grab, smash hostages and burst artifacts and instead actually come up with conte...I mean plans to occupy the heroes for hours at a time.

After the tens of thousands of copycat crimes a year that happen in front of the Capital Building, you think they'd want to put more thought into their schemes and not intentionally in front of cop cars and explosive police barriers.
