Most pvp builds can fare well in pve still, given the challenge level of this game's pve content not being that high. I can't really help w/ the pvp aspect, if that's the main focus, but what theme/type of attacks would you like to use for the concept?

I'm not too sure maybe some bestial supernatural, being able to take a good chunk of damage and not die instantly. I was thinking of going with regeneration as a passive but I'm not sure.

I'm not sure how well you want this to do in PvP (trying to compete against just about anyone or just something that can duel well from time to time), but I came up with a template for you to go off of either way.

    PowerHouse (Link to this build)

    Name:

    Archetype: Freeform

    Super Stats:
    Level 6: Strength (Primary)
    Level 10: Constitution (Secondary)
    Level 15: Recovery (Secondary)

    Talents:
    Level 1: Superhuman
    Level 6: Mighty
    Level 9: Enduring
    Level 12: Tireless
    Level 15: Quick Recovery
    Level 18: Physical Conditioning
    Level 21: Relentless

    Powers:
    Level 1: Bestial Fury
    Level 1: Shred (Penetrating Strikes)
Level 6: Pounce (Crippling Challenge, Nailed to the Ground)
Level 8: Aspect of the Bestial
    Level 11: Conviction (Rank 2, Rank 3)
    Level 14: Masterful Dodge
    Level 17: Unbreakable (Rank 2, Rank 3)
Level 20: Ego Surge (Nimble Mind)
Level 23: Massacre (Rank 2, Blood Mess)
    Level 26: Palliate (Rank 2, Rank 3)
    Level 29: Defiance
Level 32: Unleashed Rage (Rank 2, Rank 3)
    Level 35: Supernatural Power
Level 38: Frenzy (Fear Sense, Challenging Strikes)

    Travel Powers:
Level 6: Athletics (Rank 2, Rank 3, Versatility)
    Level 35:

    Specializations:
    Strength: Swole (3/3)
    Strength: Physical Peak (2/3)
    Strength: Brutality (2/2)
    Strength: Juggernaut (3/3)
    Vindicator: Aggressive Stance (2/2)
    Vindicator: Merciless (3/3)
    Vindicator: Offensive Expertise (2/2)
    Vindicator: Mass Destruction (3/3)
    Warden: Fortified Gear (3/3)
    Warden: Ruthless (2/2)
    Warden: Elusive (2/2)
    Warden: The Best Defense (3/3)
    Mastery: Strength Mastery (1/1)

    Some notes about the build:
Regeneration can work as a passive in PvP, but with the plethora of people using Trauma from Ebon Ruin it performs much worse. And since PvP normally revolves around spike damage you'll want to be able to to reduce as much of that damage as possible, so Defiance and Invulnerablity are used much more often, especially in PvP builds. I took Defiance on the build because of the extra energy it gives, which is never a bad thing, and because it provides the greatest amount of defense against spike damage and you do not need to rank it up, opening up advantage points for other powers.

Superstats and specs are similar to a typical PvP setup. STR/CON/INT would be the most popular combo, but I took REC since Supernatural Power scales off of it and this build does not really have many spammable powers for cooldowns to go with MSA. Juggernaut is there for the extra defense, so stack CON. A few of the specs can be interchanged for more offense/defense from items instead of energy reduction on melee attacks for example, but I'd recommend keeping Juggernaut, Swole, and Brutality in the STR spec tree, the crit severity specs from Vindicator/Warden, Elusive and The Best Defense from Warden, and Strength Mastery.

At the moment, the key to surviving in PvP (with ease) is cycling Masterful Dodge and Unbreakable while using Palliate in between if you're at low health since it will not share cooldowns with the active defenses. This build has all of that along with Conviction, another popular pick for its spammable heals. All of that along with Defiance should make the build extremely hard to kill if you get enough CON.

I'm not sure if Unleashed Rage is within theme for the build, but it's there so you'd actually be able to kill someone while using a defensive passive. The reasoning I use behind that is because it is basically impossible to kill someone as a melee in this game unless you use two methods: an offensive passive, or a defensive passive with UR. If you'd rather not use UR, you can switch to something like Way of the Warrior or Unstoppable (Pestilence may even work since it reduces healing, you just would not deal as much spike damage with Massacre). Problem with that is you'd be much more squishy, of course.

Ego Surge is there for the near-guaranteed crit while their active defenses are down (or while Unbreakable is up if they cycle the AD's too tightly). With Shred applying the Shredded debuff and bleeds, your UR and/or Massacre should deal quite a bit of damage as long as you're attacking while their Masterful Dodge is not up, preferably if neither MD or Unbreakable is up.

Frenzy is tacked on for some AoE in the build besides UR. That can be interchanged with something like Iron/Vile Lariat for a ranged method of applying a bleed, another heal like Bionic Shielding or Ascension, or just some flavor power.

The build of course is not min/maxed for PvP, but it should be a nice starting point to go from. It should work in PvE just fine - I don't really build solely for PvE so I don't see anything really lacking in that department.

I should also note this is not really a leveling build.

Looks good overall for a sturdy Bestial SN build. And yea, I wouldn't take Regen if ur also PvPing..

Would prob take Enrage over AotB if ur using Massacre instead of Shred primarily (if Shred is just for Shredded and the bleeds). That means ur non-UR AoE can also be a knock-based one. Also, R3 of Massacre tends to be edge out Blood Mess in dps, since Blood Mess's bonus is not in the highest damage layer.
