Accidentally deleted a channel I own - now what?

I submitted ticket #2,913,241 about this - I accidentally deleted a channel to which I am an admin, now I don't have operator privileges. Do they go to someone else, or are they just lost?

I would love if an admin can help me out with this!

    They're lost. CS can *sometimes* help, but it's kinda sketch. There is precedent for CS giving ownership to a member when there's no leadership. I would suggest getting a few channel members to back you up on it. It'll make the process easier.

    Recreate the channel, but all subscribers will be lost.

    If you delete the character who owns the channel, they pass the channel ownership down to someone else who was in the channel.

    ^ Not true! It sometimes happens, but contests-central was created because the ownership could not be passed. The creator left the game. The assumption here is that they deleted their access to the channel, and they started it. It can be regained, if there's evidence that they owned it.

    Used to be that you are right, but the gm team is better at that now.
