I've always viewed CO as sort of a Saturday morning cartoon version of the Champions Universe...but even those schemes are a little too silly for our version of Viper!
Still with certain powers and in certain locations, you can almost fool yourself into thinking that Champions Online is GI Joe the MMO...

It's probably fair to say that Hydra is the stepchild of the Mongol Hordes and the SS, which in turn begat VIPER, Cobra, Arachnos. SHADOW (M&M), and FIRE (Superworld) and probably quite a few others.
No one truly understood Cobra Commanders true genius. He was a good guy all along. He was trying to destroy Cobra from the inside. What a hero that guy was. *Salutes the misunderstood hero that is Cobra Commander of the 80's*.

Arachnos always had the least confoluted plans. At least thats what I remember playing COH.
