You win nothing because you didn't do the maze yourself. It looks like you used some crazy program that assumes the top left is the entrance and the bottom right is the exit. Because of that, you walked right past them. :biggrin:

I think that Cryptic North should take a year off from producing "content" and instead use that year to fix things, dig through the code and figure out how stuff works, do some extensive internal play-testing to really map out the balance of the game and figure that out.
Yes, people will complain, people will threaten to leave, people will whine that they're bored, compare you to world war two political groups, etc... After that year they'll all shut up when you start shoving bug fixes, effective balance tweaks, innovative content, and brand new features in their face.
"When your car gets a flat tire, you don't just keep going and hope you can make up for it with enthusiasm. You pull into the pit, fix it up, and catch up on the next lap."
This is kind of a difficult point to argue either way without any sort of information.
Will they be able to make all the changes and bug fixes in a year? Will they be able to do that and produce content so mindblowing that it will shut up all the players who've been irritated for a year? Will they be able to make enough to justify the year off in the minds of the playerbase? How many of the less dramatic players will quit quietly to go play games where the devs aren't on hiatus? How many will intend to leave temporarily, and then have their time/interests filled with other things? Will the reduction in content produced translate to a similar reduction in revenue and threaten the continued existence of the game in the meantime?

It's all fine and well to pull into the pit when your car has a flat, but context is important. You don't pull into the pit when it has the potential of losing you the race
