Hi, I'm stupid

So I deleted my character because I wanted to start over and after deleting him it dawned on me " the aura pack I bought has just been deleted with that character ! " :mad:

Feel free to insult me at will.

    It's an honest mistake. Doesn't make you stupid.

    If it makes you feel better I once bought a retcon token and used it for the wrong character, especially when that character already had a free retcon token on it that can't be transfered out. This was before F2P too and there wasn't any monthly gold stipend yet, so yeah 1250 (at the time) ZEN (CP) down the drain.

    I haven't made a new character in a long while but I remember that if you're gold, you get 6 free retcon tokens with each character you make. Prolly best to use them if you're going to start over. If it's a rename issue then it's better to buy a rename token IMO.

    Heh, I've done it before too mate. I sent in a ticket to support on the offchance that anything could be done (whilst admitting my stupidity) but they didn't even get back to me. Oh well.....lesson learned.

    I'm basically starting over because I have a better understanding of the game now and I missed out on a lot my first time around.

    I enjoy this game so I want to experience all it has to offer.

    Okay so listen, here's the stipulations:

    I basically did the same thing you did except with a become device. I'm going to add credence to that by pointing out that I bought that become device again because I legitemately like using it.

    Only if you got the veteran rewards or are lifetime, right?

    Yep, unless some how it has changed. All of the free retcon come at the First few 100 - 600 day marker, I beleave

    Yep, I've done that, albeit with a Dark Aura that dropped ingame.

    I didn't know that every level 40 gets you another character slot, so I played at least sixteen characters (buying extra slots) while subbed, and kept them all under level 27 because I liked teaming for Help A Citizen missions. Passed up three double xp weekends entirely just to keep from leveling too fast.

    When I found out about the level forty gives new slot, I ran over sixteen characters to 40 and gave myself some wicked repetitive stress injuries. Then a year later I did it again with twice as many character slots. Ouch.

    All in the name of fun, yeah.

    Oh and of course I subbed three months at a time, for at least a year and a half, always telling myself I could and would probably quit anytime soon. Could have, should have, gone life from the start, but I didn't.

    I'm very sorry this has happend to you, friend. Open the customer service ticket, the worst that could happen is that they will say no to it.

    That sucks.

    I've done some doozies myself though. Selling a bunch of equipment (to free inventory space) wanting to re-buy later only to realize the vendor's memory clears after a while. Now I just store them in the bank, heh.

    Lessons learned, next time store you aura and re-roll. :)

    You too? I deleted a Hawk on accident back in June of this year. And then went on to put my stupidity on display so that others might learn my my foolish mistake.

    Shame that XStorm is so frustrated with the state of vehicles. Seems to understand them better than anyone on the boards. Maybe it's that fact that there seemed to be no discussion that these changes were coming. It was like

    What Aura pack was it? Maybe you can eventually trade other stuff for the aura parts you liked from that pack.

    Oh I have done that all too well with some of my alts that gathered dust and decide to make a new character. Just to realize I had a super mag, or nemesis heirlooms, or they had a large pocket full of coins. You'd think by now I'd have a check list to make sure all items are in my account bank before deleting by now.

    Luckily because of paranoia, I always check a few hundred thousand times on a character I am planning to delete so that I don't lose anything. Saved my butt from losing auras and special devices quite often.

    I store spare junk in the mail box.in game still has 500 mail slots, only forum mail has 100.

    they do , when you put another mod in on top of a mod. it asks
    "are you sure you want to do this. this will destroy the first mod."

    since I'm swapping fast, I usualy see that message as I hit enter.. again

    I feel your pain. I once made an alt to see if I could use the hover grav bike in the tutorial. After I found out I couldn't I deleted that useless character except.. oops.. forgot to get the bike back out of his inventory.
