The Radiant. Done. Yay. I strongly suspect I messed up something dumb in the video since I kept noticing fixing stuff. It only took 4 renders to fix everything. And I still ended up using the Nighthawk image instead of Mechanon.

Just a thought about the choice between Soul Mesmerism vs. Binding of Aratron and which to pick: SM will trigger both the Vulnerability and Wither specialization debuffs. BoA will only trigger one of the two (I think it was Wither). So that made SM the more worthwhile choice for me (though Vengence w/ Redemption Denied is probably superior to both for applying the debuffs). And those two debuffs work on bosses even if the crowd control effect doesn't.

I gotta agree with you about the Sigils. They're nice for a passive heal effect, but when you are running from trash mob to trash mob, they feel wasted. At least the Circle can move with you at a tap. And I found it useful to have a self-rez.

Hard to bother with crowd control when stuff is getting slaughtered or people need healing. What helped noticeably, was being able to roll up first and dump ego storm on a mobs head if the team was full of squishes. After the fight starts? In a PUG? Found myself busy healing one person at a time. Or not bothering because the mob was almost / already dead.

Not saying Compassion is bad, but geeze, the Mind is clearly a controller. It's one of those things where the AT isn't a specialist for its role. A specialist would have Manipulator.

    Interesting video, couple of things:

I don't think you can pick up other people's nemesis clues, I'm pretty sure they're bound, and if there was a bug where if you were in a group and somehow you were awarded the clue to someone else's nemesis that would be a bug predating the on alert system as you could form teams before the on alert system. I think the more likely scenario is people don't know that they usually drop out in the open not on alerts or in mission instances. Best way to get nemesis minions to spawn is to start farming somewhere on the open map.

I love Sterga's costumes, I stumbled across you a couple times in game and liked the look, but she's not exactly the most survivable build from what I can see from this latest video. What I find works very well for me is energy builder, 1 single target attack, 1 area attack, 1 passive, 1 form, at least 1 active defense (I usually take two), at least 1 active offense, at least one self heal, and then, depending on the build, maybe a block, maybe a lunge and seeing as Sterga has night warrior as her passive, maybe smoke bomb to regain stealth. She's got a lot of great attack options, they're all solid choices for offense, but without a healer you could run into problems without a couple active defense as your panic buttons. Basically, from my point of view she has too many attacks. Please note, this is not me trying to tell you how to build your character, just stuff I've realized works for me. Feel free to ignore it, I only bring it up because you mention survivability and building a new free form in your video.

I really liked the devastator, I'll be interested in seeing what you thought of it.

You totally can. In Nem alerts, clues drop and I've picked up other people's clues. When I try to use those clues, I get the "this isn't for you" error.

Nope. So what? I've tanked Grav, Blaze, Warlord, and Harbinger with that build. Even with no healer. What's the point in being more tanky if I can do fine as is? Do I like there being a tank / healer? Yup. Do I need one for most things? Nope.

You were giving me advice and I'm not going to take it. There's a reason I didn't ask for build advice in the build section of the forums or why I didn't show anyone my build before using it.

Yep I've gotten these bugged clues when fighting someone else's nemesis in alerts. I always drop them after I get the error message, though it didn't really occur to me that it could make that person never receive anymore clues, but it could be an explanation as to why some claim they never get nemesis clues.

    Nice videos.

And as I said feel free to ignore my advice, as I said the only reason I brought it up was because you mentioned it in your video. People do have different play styles, I usually like a more tanky character then DPS, and so I figured I might comment on that aspect of your video as you'd mentioned that survivability was an issue. The best thing about free form is you can build the character you want and not what other people tell you to build.

As for nemesis clues, can't say I ever got "this clue is not for you" message, I've gotten the "This mission has additional requirements" message, which usually requires me beating an open world nemesis mission or two before I can use the clue dropped in the Alert, but then I've never run a nemesis Alert without a toon that had a nemesis. Could it be that that's the problem?

My main character Masquerade is currently on nemesis #13 and she was built after On Alert. I can't say I've ever had problems getting nemesis clues, but she is my main farming character as well so she usually gets a nemesis clue every day I go on a farming trip. I'm not saying that you're wrong about the On Alert nemesis clue bug, it's just that I have 55 level 40 toons and I have never had a problem with not getting nemesis clues, and so I'm just trying to suggest other possible reasons for no drops. Could well be that I've just been lucky up to this point.

I will say that they're pretty rare in nemesis Alert missions, I'd guess 1 in 50, better then the ultra rare costume drops, but not something that happens every week of playing.

I should add that I don't play many Alerts these days, just a couple here and there to keep up the XP bonus while leveling, but I will run an Alert if it's a nemesis Alert, and so I've done a ton of nemesis Alerts.

Pretty sure I was complaining about not being able to see stuff which effects my ability to tank. Stupid, obnoxious graphic effects. *grumble* I can't bring myself to using the extra cheese stuff like perma AD rotations and juggy + all the con + wardicator. Because I would bore myself to sleep with a build like that. Plus, it makes me giggle that even with how often I have to block and heal, I can still hold aggro so often. Not even cheating with CS or CC... Not that I wouldn't add CS to my laser sword if it was available.

The Nem thing is a theory and the only people that can find out are the ones that can look at the game code. I do know that I can't do the XP nem alerts because whenever the goons I picked for Sterga's nem show up, it always bugs to not include all of them. I'm sure there are all sorts of fun and exciting Nem System bugs.

I'm thinking about moving to 60fps / 1080p. So far, it looks like it has zero impact on my game when I record... Honestly don't see the difference between 30fps and 60fps. Might not happen for a few more videos since I have some of the footage for the next few recorded at 30fps. Don't think any of you care, but there you go.

There is a difference. The frames are updated and move alot faster. Have you seen 60fps Mario Kart? Oooh I love it.

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YYYOCeIluP8&feature=youtube_video_deck 60fps Witcher 3.. I'm dying brb... #qualityissoreal

Dunno what your settings are for what you use to record but for me when I use Bandicam it's:

    MPEG-1
    1920X1080, 60.00fps, 100 Quality

There is a option to record in the H.264 That's a standard off the Youtube Formatting page or the Google/Youtube upload page support. It's an Nvidia setting but either of two come out fine.

Pretty much YT has been doing 60fps since a few months back in 2014ish so alot of people's videos that were originally in uploaded in 60fps/1080p and etc were somehow formatted currently where as before when uploaded a 60fps video to youtube it was still displaying in 30fps. It's really strange imo, and it doesn't seem to be the case for everyone's videos in 60fps.

I was surprised that YouTube now can go into 4k that's the 2160p but my internet cannot even load this at all.. I'd internet like Xcalizorz to actually have that load for me but eeh if I get that option I get it if not oh well.

I honestly don't see a huge difference between the top tier pixels and frame rates but I suppose there might be a backwards compatibility issue in the distant future, were devices are designed to run at the higher levels, and old video would look weird at lower rates. I suppose it really comes down to if you want to spend the time recording, rendering, and uploading these higher rates, if you don't mind taking the extra time then it's probably a smart thing to do, as everyone else on YouTube seems to be moving that way.

Well the thing is I come from a YouTube Commentator community and alot of people I know usually have their videos rendered in 720p - 1080p for the sake of high quality videos for their subs. Something they've had set and stone for a while.

Though it's understandable because people these days aren't really watching stuff from TV/Computer, mostly off their phone.

You should voice act and end this robotic analysis of the game.

Have fun. Open a thread looking for a script for you to voice.
Maybe even screenshots or demo file too.
    Voice the script, etc.

Maybe you can be the Narrator for that Infinity War. or some crossover event.

Pick one of your characters, record with demo_record, and then render playback from a few camera angles, put it back together with some voice. Maybe voice the villain and the character you play is a silent protagonist. Or maybe team with someone and voice over their character, like a talkative sidekick to a silent protagonist. Or you do the robot thing. Yeah, do Socrates voice overs.

Remember those role players who were like "Cryptic, remove the enemies in Little Italy so we can role play romantic dinners?"
Voice over a romantic dinner in little Italy. But maybe the guy stands you up and you get ticked off and show your true colors.

Have some fun with this. Try a few short scenes and see where your dramatic strength lies. It's there, make it shine.

Did I rant about using Demo_record. Use Demo_record!
You can get your audio by telling your audio card to record your output and then just run the demo_record and record a file.
You match your camera angles up with that master soundtrack.
If you make short videos it's not so much work...two minutes here two minutes there
cut to the chase as they say in the business.

    The Lazy Healer

So, there were these settings that improve the quality of my video that I had no idea existed. I only had to render it twice to figure it out and... there's still a small error in the video. *tears* But it takes all of eternity to do that render thing so, I don't care enough. Anyway. 60fps and higher quality.
