Public service announcement: The effects of morale.

When there's still ten minutes on the timer, and you yell out on Zone chat that Zone 2 has NO chance of winning the Defend Champions HQ mission because most of the Mega Destroyers still have half their health left, with Mechanon coming soon, YOU are the one killing the Zone's chances of success. Zone 1 is almost always going to be ahead, as that's the first stop for most people. Once they're done there, they will arrive at Zone 2 to assist.

But when you throw out that Zone 2 is DOOOOOMED, guess what happens? A large portion of the people who actually pay attention to Zone chat (and thus are capable of following directions and going where they're needed) are going to give up, STAY IN THEIR ZONE, and fly off to Rencen to wait for the next run. Congratulations, you've just guaranteed that the north and south battlefields have no one fighting, often resulting in the Mega Destroyers being reset outright. On top of that, since none of them left Zone 2, the mission will be seriously undermanned once the cavalry arrives.

Meanwhile, all those people at the western battlefield who don't pay an OUNCE of attention to chat? They're going to keep spamming away at the lowest-health Destroyer on the west side, triggering Mechanon while the rest of the Destroyers are at full health.

It could've been won, if Zone 2 had held out and kept the Mega Destroyers under control to the best of their ability. It didn't have to be perfect, little mistakes can be recovered from. But no, you had to spurt your pessimistic doomsaying on Zone chat, chasing away the mission's participants, guaranteeing the mission's failure, and ensuring that YOU and fifty other people can't get that reward box.

It could've been won... But you had to ruin it.

Don't kill morale.
Dasher@Tool-box, donning his armor to prance into battle and blitz the enemy! No joke!
Cupid@Tool-box, stunningly radiant stag ready to play matchmaker between villain and arrow!
Vixon@Tool-box, frighteningly eager to summon despair for his adversaries!
Jebin Zedalu@Tool-box, elementalist weaponmaster. ...One of these things is not like the others!

Once they're done there, they will arrive at Zone 2 to assist.

Wrong. Zone 2 is filled with players before the fight in zone #1 ends and nobody can get into zone #2 for 20 minutes that the event timer ticks down.

If these events had no timer and were just an endless wave of zone leaps and epic battles then nobody would be saying that zone 2 is finished ten minutes into a fight, and knowing that is a certainty by doing simple math.

I finished just one of these fights, and crashed with Mechanon at about 10% health, by the time I got back in game whatever zone I was in was inaccessible and by the time it was available , the fight over and we didn't win.

There was a rolling wave of comments about this problem and the usual "can't get into zone x" comments in zone chat and CoX channel and Mechannon Channel since the event began.

The problem is the timer and zone's stuffed with people not participating and now clue or ability to participate without spending the whole twenty minutes re-spawning,

Tool is mostly correct. People "should" be less stupid in zonechat with the doomspeak, accusations, witchhunts, and pretty much anything that is not directly contributing to the success of the mission. Now, I'm a realist and don't for a second believe the majority of those doing these things will stop...but the overall sentiment is correct that it should stop.

I keep wondering if there are trolls doing that sort of thing. Also got to wonder if there might be folks intentionally taking down Mega-Ds early just create a greater chance of mission failure and thus ruining it for everyone else.
