Hey guys basically I am searching for a software for 3D art. I have so far only been able to work with 3D video-makers and screenshotting isn't my fav. way around. Can anyone tell me some examples if they know of any?

    1. Blender (free)
    2. 3DSmax
    3. Maya
    4. Rhino
    5. Google Sketchup
to get a single picture you just render a single frame and save as an image file

    1. Blender (Free)
    2. Sculptris (Free)
    3. Zbrush (Pay 2 use)
    4. Maya
    5. 3Ds Max
    4. Google sketchup. (Free)

Google sketchup is mainly used to make house plans, buildings and other industrial figures, not so much character faces and bodies etc but not entirely impossible.

I personally own Zbrush, there are some tutorials here on how to use it, it can get a bit complex, however it does have some good tools such as masking, different metal/matte textures and other things.

Sculptris is pretty easy to use, you'll learn it in 5 mins just by messing around.

    Thats all i know of.
