666 Days...

That's how long it's been since I logged into CO.

I left because, well, it felt like the game was starting to stagnate, going nowhere.

But the other day, I decided to check the website to see if there was anything worth seeing.

And what do I find? A series of quests featuring Mechanon!

And I was like "OK, this I have to see"

So I logged in with my robot character, and what's the first thing I experience? Sapphire's anniversary song!

This game used to disappoint me, but now I feel it's not so bad.

Sure PVP is dead, lockboxes are everywhere and any map that isn't Millennium City is almost empty, but people are still playing, so there must be something worth coming back to.

    Now we know who to blame if this is the beginning of the downfall of Champions Online. The End of Days. Ragnarok. Chimichanga. Apocalypse. Armageddon. The Quickening. The Rapture.

    Welcome back, you returned at a great time.

    If you're still in contact with anyone who also left the game, please let them know that this weekend, starting Friday morning and ending Monday morning, they can pick up the Cyborg Beast costume set and the UNTIL vehicle.

    And - Ragnarok, sure. End of Days, maybe. Chimichanga??? They're delicious, but unless someone overloads on the beans, they're hardly a harbinger of doom...

    I think you forgot to type something inbetween those two lines. How do you spell the screams of the damned?

    I came back myself after a year and a half hiatus. I've been re-discovering my old alts, re-building a few, and now have plans to abuse the double XP weekend coming up. I don't know how long this nostalgia trip will last, but I'm gonna enjoy it as long as I can. :biggrin:

    So refreshing to see some positivity!

    (I would like to point out that the word "positivity" is coming up as an unknown/misspelled word. Seems kind of ironic to me.)

    Thanks for the warm welcomes.

    So I did the things that where added since i left, like Forum Malvana, Fire and Ice, Fatal Err0r etc. They went pretty well.

    Also I decided to use some of my questionite to buy a rename token so I could give my robot character a proper superhero name.

    No longer is he called A5-Z4, he is now called Alpha.

    Questionite for rename? How did you do that? How much did it cost?

    Converting Questionite for Zen on the exchange. Don't know how much Q exactly, but it was 350 Zen. I had various amouts of Q sprend across my five charaters. I kept switching and converting until I had enough.

    I presume that you got on some good teams then, if F&I went well. However, a lot of endgame content right now is being run through rampagers, a new chat channel dedicated to such things. Let me know if you're interested in an invite.

    That's about 122500 qt then if it is 350 q/zen

    The forum software just isn't used to people being positive about anything around here.

    Well someone at the end of my F&I run said "this team was heavenly"

    and I posted a request to join Rampagers in that thread.

    How? And do you know how long it lasts? My account got nuked in the switch over from Cryptic apparently and i'm waiting on CS to fix it. But i'm afraid it might not happen until Monday.

    The giveaway lasts until 11 am Monday. (And given your situation, there's always the possibility you could be allowed to cash in after that, assuming they don't have it fixed before then...)

    To claim the costume pack and vehicle, leave the PH, take a sharp left, and look for the Project Clockwork agent. The costume pack and vehicle will cost you 55 Locals each; if I'm not mistaken, you get more than that during character creation, so there's probably no issue.

    Thanks for the info.

    I did speak with CS today and they did a preliminary bit of support for me but then said it had to be dealt with by a different department which I got the impression doesn't work on weekends.

    Apparently I had created a new Perfect World account at some point that shadows my old Cryptic account of Agathorn so my original account is floating in the void somewhere.
