As I continue to work on exactly what I may want my build to be (I know...I know...not there yet)...I remember being told there's a difference between range attacks and blast attacks.

So which attacks are considered blast attacks?

Last I checked, Shotgun Blast isn't actually functionning as a blast, even though the tooltip declares it as one (same w/ Rebuke). They aren't affected by things like Avenger Mastery, and didn't proc Preemptive Strikes (also oddly don't consume it- so something in general is messed up w/ how they are flagged). Also, I think the Solder's version of the shotgun can be charged, but not the FF version.. weird.

Firestrike is also technically a blast, based on Preemptive Strikes - its just the only one w/o a charge.

Cut and pasted from my dps sheet- should be up-to-date:

    Chain Lightning
    Fire Strike
    Force Blast
    Gust
    Ice Blast
    Straight Shot
    Ricochet Throw
    Experimental Blaster
    Power Gauntlet
    Tactical Missiles
    Ego Blast
    Mind Break
    Stone Shot
    Shadow Blast
    Eldritch Blast
    Infernal Blast
(+ Rocket Punch, when its avail)

Generally most of the Blast powers are tier 1. And there are specializations that heavily favor them. If you work in getting as much Offense Defense cycling as well as some Blast specializations, you can do tons of damage. The biggest one is Ice Blast tap spam as long as you have Ice Form.

Was wondering due to Make It Count. How much does that help for Gust? That'd be an extra 6% Damage.

They say Blast in their types in their description. It's just a flag so that the power gets effected by the Specializations that effect Blasts.
