Because of my personal criteria, Holoforce because I could not care less about more transparent glows and armor parts (between Legacy PA, Sci-fi Soldier, Tactical Armor and Variety pack I'm swiming in light armor parts right now), but it adds one more set of tights.

I usually go for sets with tights patterns first, as it gives me more universal bases for all costumes.

Holoforce, unless you absolutely must have the spider legs.

Holoforce accessories work in all categories, unlike the psi dragon pieces that are randomly locked out of several (especially head) categories. Plus, at least for me, they're more visually interesting - the psi dragon set has a lot of just flat un-textured surfaces, which only really works well with the glow textures - or certain specific costumes.

What would you suggest for those who want that armor which comes up with an aura? (Black colour lit up by in-combat aura color)

    Both work that way.

The difference is in style. PSI Dragon looks more organic and spike-y.

The third set is Holo Hex power armor released some time ago. It has holographic shoulders, chest, bracers and leg accessories. They look good as an invisible force fields because they're very thin and lightweight compared to Holoforce and PSI dragon, but they don't mesh well with other holo parts and this set has no holographic wings (and Holoforce and PSI dragon wings have different style).

And the PSI parts can do the same as well (bracers, shoulders and a back piece that drop from PSI enemies)

I have to agree, the main difference between using them as an "aura" armor is if your character is more tech based or organic in design. I personally lean more towards tech, but a clever combination between all of the transparent parts would be ideal.

If you are looking for one over the other, look at your character/costume lineup. If you lean more for tech ideas and looks then pick Holo force. If more creatures and magics then PSI is probably going to fit your style more.

Does PSI dragon allow for holographic texture? Instead of just PSI and solid?

It comes with all textures: Holographic, Glass, Cloth, Leather, Metal and Brushed Metal.

And for the vote, I'll vote for the Psionic Dragon. Mostly because it has been the most useful for a large majority of my characters.
