Hello i have been having a very annoying issue with running CO from steam so i want to completely wipe it and do a clean install. Every time i try to uninstall the next time i open the launcher it has the same settings as before which makes me think its not rly wiped out. So please tell me how to do that and also how to delete all related files to it and registry entries... ALL OF THE THINGS!
Launcher settings are stored in the Registry. Look under HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Cryptic.
If you used Delete Local Content in Steam to uninstall, it might have left behind a gameprefs.pref file in SteamApps\Common\Champions Online\Live\localdata. I'm not sure of that, though, because I had never used Steam for any Cryptic games. I either direct-downloaded or used Arc.
Choose your enemies carefully, because they will define you / Make them interesting, because in some ways they will mind you
They're not there in the beginning, but when your story ends / Gonna last with you longer than your friends

1: Don't dig around in your registry. If you're not a super-user type admin person with advanced knowledge, you can seriously break something. Like "Brick your computer" style break, I've had to repair registry damage from an overly clever user more times than I can count. Don't be that guy.
2: Try Revo uninstaller. It'll automate the process of cleaning out hidden system files and switches. Games like CO bury sh*t everywhere, this is why I tend to toss my mmos on a separate account, under "only install for this user" access. Which might even be an option for you, it's entirely possible your bug is with internet exploder. The launcher does use that as a base framework. I'd say give that a shot and see if it works, if so the problem is with your user profile.
In game, I am @EvilTaco. Happily killing purple gang members since May 2008. RIP Caine

The issue was that due to "idk wth i did" when i run CO from steam the launcher connects to steam but the moment i click on "play" launcher switches to gameclient and quits steam XD IDK WHAT I DID XD.... anyways all fixed now

Try clearing out your temp internet files and saved usernames and passwords from Internet Explorer as the launcher uses calls to IE.
And playing by myself since Aug 2009
