That was so funny, like watching an old 80's video game, with all the huds off.

That's pretty fantastic. Next you should get 2 people to duel and play some street fighter.
In game, I am @EvilTaco. Happily killing purple gang members since May 2008.

    Ninja Gaiden Lite: Champions Edition.

By "lite" I mean not ridiculously hard NES difficulty. :frown:

    VIPER Gaiden!

awww having the spirit serpent fight in there too woulda been SO great.

This fight sucks for filming. The serpent mage is off to one side and the snake itself is too tall. It would have been ugly and anti-climatic.

Just like what happens when I play any other NES game.

I'm not sure if that is good or bad. Some NES game were difficult because the controls are icky and some just require you to memorize the level layouts.

I'm glad you guys enjoyed the video. :)

While this it is true that some NES games were bad because of controls, Ninja Gaiden wasn't one of them. It required more reflexes and the timing. Memorization was slightly there but mostly reliant on you being fast. If your timing was off, you typically took a dive into an instant death pit. Sadly, those days of challenge are long since gone and have been replaced by massive amounts of hand holding. It baffles me when I read reviews of DuckTales Remastered that a lot of people complained that game was too hard, which just wow'd me considering when I played it back in the day I was beating it on hard the first day. Even went out and bought it on Steam and it's just as a I remember, though they've actually dumbed it down by putting in more life and making enemy hit boxes bigger compared to the NES version, so you can pogo on them, but it's still a nice trip down memory lane.

Even speaking as a fan of "nintendo hard" games, you're looking in the wrong place if you expect that from an MMO. especially CO.

My statement wasn't in reference to MMOs, but gaming in general.

Wasn't overly fond of Ninja Gaiden's controls myself, but platformers were never my things. I'm not even going to pretend I was ever good at those games because, lol, nope. More of a RPG person, honestly.

Why play Nethack when there's Dungeons of Dredmor? Better graphics and all. Plus, you can be a werediggle. Can't go wrong with that.

    That was awesome.

My vote would be for Whiteout next, specifically the Ice Station. The inside of all those buildings are pretty linear and then you have the corner of that one storage room with the egg/vines/ooze that you burn. That's so Contra.
