I'm pretty sure I posted a very similar thread to this one, but then a couple of updates happened and I think that the build is a bit obsolete. (But then again, what do I know about builds? Nothing, that's what I know about builds)
Anyways, I want to be useful and loved in Gravitar! Heal people around, rezz them when needed, avoid getting squished like a roach helps too.
I use the basic template of the awesome Light / Dream Star builds, and add in rez/self-rez powers. Primary CON for a healer actually makes quite a lot of sense; you can't heal if you're dead.
Basically: Iniquity for the main tank, conviction and/or BCR to keep you not dead from spamming iniquity, sentinel aura/ascension/another heal power if you want for everyone else. Add in your other powers for theme. With iniquity, 6000 HPS or more is easily possible, but no content (even F&I) really requires that.
F**k it. This is almost exactly my best healer's build. I don't care anymore. Anyone can use this as they please.
Oh yeah. This works in Fire and Ice (as long as there aren't any cowardly agro holders that don't realize that being in melee Frost is better for everyone and makes it easier on the healers).
_____
Void Shift (adv) Lifedrain to debuff boss damage and double your AoE heal from this power combo. Ebon Void to block tons of damage and yes you will survive Gravi bubbles if you want to stay within them (except yellow unless you are at full health, with bubbles and/or block stacks.)
For those not close (or if you don't want to be in melee) you can range them with Iniquity. Don't worry about your health dropping because with some gear and those certain specs you can get that healing right back automatically.
AoE Res, Self Res with damage resist to ready up your buffs because mistakes happen.
Ascension to break from accidental holds or for a fantastic burst heal for you and party.
Mental Storm with Sentinel Mastery to give everyone a raw 1% of Max heal just about every second that they damage and that you keep Mental Storm on your targets.
This healing build can put 4 separate HOTs (while you keep critting) not including your melee/range AoE heals. Bubbles to keep someone alive IF they need it.
What can you change?
Lifedrain and Void Shift can be replaced with ANYTHING you want (though I find this the best healing method).
Endurance is a placeholder. Use Int if you want to lower your Conviction, self rez, Ascension, Mental Storm cooldowns. Dex if you want more crits with stats so that you can gear toward Offense/Defense cycling to make your heals better overall.
AoPM can be replaced with any other passive like Radiant Protection if you want everyone tanky (I prefer AoPM since it boosts everyone's output in all fields and that you never have to worry about energy ever). Don't change your stats though if you want a different passive.
My fave support/healer combo has to be Selfless Ally + Ascension, Compassion, MSA + Conviction w/ reverence, Iniquity, and AoRP. PRES/Con/Int setup. Add in Rebirth, ebon void w/ VD and Con SS to not be squishy, Sentinel Aura, aoe Res, either MF or Protection Field. Add 1-2 debuff powers, maybe a strong single target attack, and ya got a winnar of the chicken dinnar.
If only the rampage UI wasn't stupid as s--t, I'd look forward to playing Support builds more.
Mecha-Arisa is about having just enough support to get things done in F&I, which is actually overkill for Grav, healing-wise. The margin for healing in CO is really really low. Most Gravs I don't need to go over 300HPS, and F&I I think it's closer to 600HPS. So everything else in Arisa's build can be directed towards DPS or solo capabilities. I switch her to Hybrid mode when I see other healers in the party and with Strafing Run in the last slot she does enough DPS to pull aggro and need to tank Gravitar, then she gets the power heals from the other healer. What an irony for a Support build T_T
Flow's suggestion and Light/Dream Star are about all out traditional Support. A good AoRP build makes things very easy indeed.
Buxom's build is a DPS healer. Do damage with Lifedrain while putting out awesome AoE heals.
And then there's the different things that the Support passives bring to the table to define your support style too.
AoRP
Prevention is better than cure. Mitigate a lot of damage to make healing easier. You have great mitigation, so balance that out by getting HP with primary Con. Stack Pre for the party buff. Third stat probably Int. Cost Discount and CD Redux is always useful.
Seraphim
Awesome raw healing power but you're squishy. Seraphim IMO is more oriented towards healing in Hybrid mode where the heal% bonus makes a bigger impact. Trouble with Hybrid mode without AoPM is energy management but once that's covered you're golden. On the bright side you don't really need Pre or even Compassion to get good heals before your Form is stacked, and if your Hybrid mode heals aren't good enough you can fall back to an "In Case of Emergency Switch to Support Mode" hotkey. So you get some interesting options here:
REC/Con/X or X/Rec/Con with Compassion - Use Rec to power Compassion if you're healing-oriented. X can be Primary Str/Ego for a survivable Seraphim build. Alternatively, secondary Int for an AO rotation build - imagine having Ascension up half the time for raw healing boost and Ego Surge up the other half of the time for crit heals. Or even Primary Dex. Seraphim is very flexible here.
PRE/Con/Int in Justice Gear with 3 ranks in Repurpose - Stack Int with MSA and Concentration for a DPS build with great crit chance. Justice Gear's set bonus gives you a huge boost to healing to stack on top of Seraphim's innate healing.
AoPM
Balanced mix of HP, offense, great energy management and stats for everyone in the party. However, you get HP but not mitigation so you'll want to cover that with specs like Force of Will or Juggernaut. Some statting options
EGO/Pre/Con - Stack lots of Pre and use Compassion. You get a great party stat boost and with Ego's specs your Pre contributes to your Defense and Crit Chance.
STR/Pre/Con - Stack lots of Con with a sprinkling of Pre and be virtually unkillable with a combination of high EHP and Compassion-powered heals. You could do a variant of Buxom's build with Spirit Reverb and Shadow of Doubt with Crippling Challenge. Run in Hybrid mode and you could very well be a healtank :O!
PRE/Con/Int or PRE/Con/Dex in Justice Gear with 3 Ranks in Repurpose - DPS-oriented hybrid option. Stack Int for Concentration or Dex for Form of Tempest and cover healing bonus with Repurpose Rank 3. Thing about Primary Pre is that stacking Pre doesn't give you much, so if you want to take Pre sky-high with 6 Pre mods or something you should really look at Ego.
AoED
Pet master option. Doesn't really do anything to help the party's survivability.
AoAC and Medi-Nanites
Welcome to Hard mode.
Notable mention - PFF
You get to stack Rec to power Compassion, ditch Con as an SS and still have about as much EHP as your average tank. You may not be able to run in Support mode but with 400-500 Rec powering Compassion and giving you energy management, it's really not necessary.
I have a few heal-support builds. But the one below is my favorite. It's focused almost entirely within the Celestial tree. (* I created a target self bind to heal myself using Celestial Conduit). Celestial Conduit also serves as both a strong single target heal and a powerful attack!
Also Celestial Conduit + Illumination = an awesome party heal. You don't see too many people taking advantage of this - so it feels unique.
I also chose Sentinel Mastery which enables Vengeance (w/Redemption Denied adv) to provide a consistent team heal. Sentinel Aura also helps keep team health in the green.
I maxed out my Presence in order get the best possible Team Buff from AOPM. I did start off using Seraphim. But the self and team buffs from AOPM worked better for me. In Support mode with AOPM (plus MSA), energy is not a problem.
I can take this build into Rampages, Custom Alerts, and Lairs with no problems. I can also solo without feeling gimped. If I die - it's because I wasn't paying attention.
For the end game, I did max out my Presence. Which is probably overkill, but it works fine for me. Having a CON primary with the Protector Tree means I'm usually on my feet. You can't heal anyone if you keep faceplanting!
There are 3 empty power slots that can used to add whatever utility you may need. On my current build they are empty. I don't see the need to add anything else. The build functions great as is.
I used to have Sigils of Radiant Glory on him, but I rather like Mental Leech.
Between Thunderclap and Ego Sleep, it's easy to proc Sentinel Mastery. Ebon Ruin for debuff and Trauma and more DoT, double bubbles, and the easy-to-use Illumination/Celestial Conduit combo.
Plus, who doesn't enjoy tossing in a Strafing Run periodically?
He's quite a fun build to play, and when I do F&I, he's generally very supportive and survivable as main healer for the Frosticus tank.
