That particular scene Tuco finds a hotel that's been abandoned because it had been shelled, there was a big unexploded mortar shell in the lobby if I recall correctly, and someone had ordered a bath but fled with before they could use it. Not wanting a perfectly good bath to go to waste Tuco has a nice soak in the tub. Which leads to this scene:

Great movie, highly recommend it, Clint and Lee Van Cleef are good but Eli Wallach's Tuco steals every scene he's in.
